(F30) Official TANZANITE BLUE F30 Photo Thread
I got my F31 M sport two weeks ago, and the weather just hasn't done the car and color justice since. Well today I took some pics with my iphone at the gas station.
My thoughts of the car so far is that I like almost every bit of it. My E91 with 19" was nice to drive, but the F31 is just better at everything. Better handling, yet it is less "nervous" on the road than the E91, better comfort and less noisy. Personally I like the steering much better than in the E91. I didn't have adaptive steering in the E91 though. The new navi pro is really fast and the HUD is amazing (not only speed limit and current speed is shown in the window, but it also allows you to control your phone, radio, spotify etc.). About the color. When I ordered the car I thought the color would be lighter and was kind of disappointed when images showing a really dark shade, almost like imperial blue started to show up. In reality, when the sun (not that we have any of that in Sweden these days) hits the car, it is a more exciting color than Imperial blue. But if you are looking for something instantly eye catching independent of weather, I'd recommend EB II. With that said, I don't regret my choice.

I was surprised by how dark it was too when I saw the first photos come through but that darkness gives it that extra which I think EBII falls down on. I've seen a few EBII around where I live and although the first few times it was a great colour to see, that hasn't remained the case. The instant wow has worn off. I may be biased as it's my car, but every time I see the Tanzanite it still makes me smile. It doesn't matter if the sky is grey or the sun is out, the Tanzanite has that longevity that I love

I couldn't agree more If it were my car, I'd have ordered the exact same colour combo as yourself. Just doesn't make sense on a lease car though EBII and Crazy-mofo-red will just have to do

330d with black BMW M performance grilles
taken with my iPhone hence the poor quality, once I get a free sunny day & a clean car! I'll take some better shots....

Actually expected it to look better when I saw it on the BMW configurator.
But still, it's a beautiful color! Possibly one of the, if not the most beautiful for the F3x! |

Tanzanite blue amazing
What a stunning color, gorgeous interior and nice two tone panels.the paint reminds me of the m6 blue San Marino I think .Not that the shades are similar but they both take my breathe away.I have a black sapphire w coral red interior on my msport w the 19"s and I love it .The machine finish on the 19"s reflect the light as does the metallics in the paint. You made a great choice.

Tanzanite Blue is very attractive !
It is a unique combination of Imperial Blue, Azurite Black, but lighter in some low-light conditions and when there is more sunshine is like Deep Sea Blue. But there is another surprise, shares a blue-green hue with Midnight Blue and Jerez Black in special lighting conditions I mean the place is surrounded. |
