Does anyone know the part number of the HPFP that the recall is replacing? Like many others, frustrated with BMW. I own (2) 2015 328d's (F30 & F31). The BMW site does not include either of my VINs in the recall, local dealer confirmed that mine are not on the list. Checking RealOEM, the pump that was installed in both of my 328d's should be the 13518571796 (used 07/01/2013 To 07/26/2017) superseded by 13518597819 from 2016 and forward. Both of my 328ds were manufactured March 2015 thus I am certain the pumps in my cars is the 13518571796. Since BMW is stating mine are not part of the recall, I am trying this from another angle to find the part number of the pump that BMW is recalling and understand if/why my pumps are not included.

That what I was figuring when mine never got into the recall. It’s not the pump is a batch of pumps only

Just FYI. I went in to get my HPFP changed out last week for the recall and didn't think about having a close to full tank of fuel so service advisor said come in with a 1/4 tank. Made an appointment today after taking a long trip and another service advisor explains that it's going to be a long wait and he may not even have the part in. Recall and other service advisor said an hour. The second service advisor has a part coming in and set me up with a loaner says it's going to be about 8 hours does that make sense? Anyone had theirs replaced yet?

OK here is my situation.
I just bought a 2018 328d that has the recall notice. I am in SC and the car is Las Vegas. My brother who lives in Vegas did the walk around, and drove the car. Everything is good with the car. My wife and I are flying out to Vegas in April to get the car and drive it back to SC. Should I try and get the recall done in Las Vegas before the road trip? Or should I wait until I get back to SC. Also the Las Vegas BMW dealer is telling me that this recall is a "2 step" process. They will investigate the pump and then decide if they need to order a new pump. There is nothing mentioned in the recall letter from BMW stating a "2 step" process. Thanks! |

I just got my HPFP recall completed on my 2016 328d. I have (or had) a DUDMD tune on it. Before going in my flash counter was at 1, now it is at 3. The service paperwork doesn’t mention anything about software update. Did they over-write my tune!?!?
The performance doesn’t seem like it fully went back to stock, but throttle response isn’t instant. |

I had my pump changed out earlier this week and picked up the car this morning. Other than a slight odor of diesel everything seems to be working great. No lights or vibrations and after driving for 30 miles no more odor!
I was also very surprised to see the technician identify the broken emergency brake cable holder and replaced it for no charge. I had no idea that dealers and techs did things like that anymore? Way to go Century BMW in Greenville, SC. I was about to purchase the clip and fix the cables myself. |
