When my BiL wanted to buy about 6 acres of extra land, when the estate next to the croft went up for sale, he ended up buying the whole estate, the house, steadings, and about 200 acres of maturing forest (plus plenty of birch copse) on a 600 acre estate.

My son has taken a forestry course to qualify to fell trees up to 380mm.

So sometimes you can end up with more than curtains.

Went out for “essential” shopping followed by a quick blast in Sport+ up Ayr Road. Mrs BT asked if I was ‘driving enthusiastically’ as she’d heard the exhaust from Mearns Road

I did exactly the same half an hour ago! Had to drop food off to both sets of parents.

Just be careful, quite a few cops kicking about tonight. There was an unmarked cop car on M77 when I joined at Maidenhill. Saw him just in time!

Is it just me, or does this thread remind anybody else of another thread which turned into a M40i discussion?

Maybe it's cabin fever!

Eldest boy demonstrating at the SECC last month. Coronavirus means a job in one of Norway’s top fish restaurants has been binned, on the plus side we dine like kings most nights...

Chef at The Buttery in Glasgow, had been offered a job at Cornelius fish restaurant in Bergen. He’s planning to move to Barcelona where his Russian girlfriend lives to open his own place. Favourite cuisine is Asian but can turn his hand to anything, particularly a nice loaf....

Sounds like he’s carving out quite a career!

Good luck to him and I hope he gets through this because at the end of it he’ll be in huge demand!
