Nice
I am sure many of us here have built the same car on the configurator. Absolutely stunning combo. Agree on the wheel design - I prefer the style of the 18s, but if they were just a little bigger.. I am living vicariously through all these F30 and F10 M5 deliveries..

I just hate how BMW is slapping M badges all over. Anyhow that's the direction they are going so might as well accept.
Anyways, nice car! The F30 is definately growing on me. |

Thanks again for all of nice comments! I'm very pleased with the configuration, the alpine white/coral red combo is fantastic. Time will drag on very slowly waiting for the car to return to the US, I'm already getting anxious.
Yes, unfortunately, the delivery photos were all taken with my BlackBerry; I really didn't want to deal with carrying around a camera during the delivery process. I used my Samsung tablet for all of the pics after I left the Welt. Quote:
Your CA can add them to your order, several of the M Performace accessories are available for installation at the VPC after the car arrives at the port (M brakes, black grilles, exhaust, etc). I was able to get the brakes at invoice price and avoided the labor charge that would otherwise have to be paid if purchased later and installed by the dealer. I wouldn't have it any other way! I've never owned a car with an automatic, and I intend to keep it that way as long as manual transmissions are still manufactured. I just enjoy the higher level of engagement and control, some people complain about clutching and rowing the gears in traffic, but it has never bothered me. Excited to see performance brakes on it as well, and hoping someone makes some brackets for those to fit on e46's soon. I'm not sure about you going with 19's though, I honestly regret my 19's on my e46 ZHP. They look amazing, but the roads here are just not nice enough for such a small sidewall tires... In less than a year my $2250 wheel and tire combo looks like crap, in part to a few curb issues on my part, but I'm pretty sure two of them are bent and a few scuffs are not my fault. Maybe the roads are better in your neck of the woods, but I would be weary, in the mean-time those 18's look great IMO...

Luke b817,
Beautiful car. I am looking at ordering the same interior with a black exterior. Planned upgrades are: -Red M Performance brakes -Black kidney grilles -Match-painted reflectors -VMR 710 matte black, 19in (use the stock wheels for winter tires) The question is what summer tires should I use for the 19" VMRs and winter tires for the stock 18" rims? I plan on selling the run flats if I can't convince the dealer to ship with winters and give me a credit. If I order next week the production run will be September with expected delivery early November.. so it is borderline for snow up here in Toronto. Thanks for any input. |

Thanks! Yeah, I still get a biting twinge of regret for cutting it short whenever I look back at the photos, I don't recommend others do a short ED trip. The car just hit the port in Brunswick, GA on Saturday afternoon...now I can't track it easily anymore, just have to wait until I get the call that it's ready for me to pick it up. The whole ED ordering/delivery/re-deliver process and the resulting anticipation have been fun, but now I'm getting impatient...bordering on annoyed. I just want to drive the car again. It's been more than a month and a half since I sold my old car and I'm getting tired of driving a borrowed vehicle. (although, I did spend a couple of weeks with the Mini Cooper S that my dad uses as a dinghy car to tow behind his motorhome, that was fun...but now I'm back to driving a borrowed Tundra)
