I don't want to do plates on my DD, I already have them on my track prep'd m3 and the NVH would drive me up the wall. |

I definitely wouldn't want them on mine either. Having ridden in cars with them before I knew they were not for me.

If anyone wants the control arms, I haven't sold them yet. They only have about a quarter mile of driving on them lol. Not that it was challenged, but before I did it I talked to Turner and also FCP euro and neither thought there would be any problem with the xdrive, but I hope my little mishap saves others from having the same issue. For those who have done it on RWD, I've heard great things! Bryan |

I just did this bc I needed new control arms but I wouldn't have otherwise. My car with 19X8 front wheels + 10mm spacers + Dinan Springs now rubs during hard cornering.

Other than the actual LCA's -
Are there are any other required or recommended parts or hardware that should be installed when fitting to an F30 ? Can someone confirm R and L part numbers? |

We did this and were within 0 degrees and 4 minutes off from the factory spec. It allowed us to drive 30 minutes to the alignment shot. |

Thanks man.. fantastic references for sure. I am still trying to figure out if this is worth doing, granted the prices are pretty reasonable all things considered and also watched the DIYs on how to do it. My only concern would be reinstalling properly to then get it to an alignment shop to finish the work. *ponder* Maybe adding this to my bucket list of To Dos. Side note, using the parts list it looks like $408 from GetBMWParts

Having just switched back to anF30 after several years in other car makes, I was really excited to learn about this alternative to camber plates. So I jumped in (apparently too quickly) and got a “kit” from a highly reputable vendor that sells both the F80 LCAs and tension struts as a plug and play for the F30. Well, the installer and I just learned tonight the F80 tension struts definitely don’t fit the F30. I wish I read this post earlier, notwithstanding the vendors assurances to me everything fits. Does anyone know where I can get spacers that will allow the tension struts to fit? I also saw some reference to trying to to push the larger F30 bushing into the tension strut of the F80. Based on bushing housing for the F80 v. F30, I don’t see how this would work right. Has anyone successfully done this?
