Looking at the diagram of the exhaust that comes with the MPPK and the positioning of the valves, it looks like it's possible to run the car bypassing all silencers (as the MPPK exhaust removes the centre ones). No wonder it's so bloomin' loud!

Especially since the Bay Area and LA/Orange County/San Diego (and surrounding areas) in SoCal are two of BMW's largest markets in the US

In one of the other threads in this sub forum someone claims a dealer in Florida told him it would be out in May. I'd sure prefer May to July, but who knows. I'm trying to convince myself I would enjoy the MPPK more if I have to drive the car stock for a few months. But who are we kidding I want the instant gratification.

I emailed the Parts Manager today requesting information about MPPK for 340i.
Below is what he said in our email conversation. -- I did call BMW on this, and they told me that there is no indication that it is coming to the USA. Most likely not approved by USA DOT. The power kit is not available on half the car line. I will call again to see if I can get more info. |

It would be nice if BMW built a 340is with all the right performance bits included. The car would slot between a regular 340i and an M3.

They might do that eventually since Mercedes just renamed the c450 amg coupe version to c43 amg. I'm guessing we will see m340i and m440i
