Totally empty beach 5 minutes walk down the road....very different pace of life this week, must NOT check work emails .

No natural trees in Dubai so that will be a rare imported twig adding another £5 to the cost of the drink.

Another reason for me not to visit then........ could never see the attraction of Dubai, my wife used to go their regularly with her work and even had her 'Hen Do' out there and loved the place.

Far too commercial and clinical for me ....... give me a couple of weeks in the 'Lakes' any day of the week

I have a love/hate relationship with the place. I've been out there many times with work and taken the family out a few times. It's great for sun/sand/sea and accepting it as a man made city with some great architecture but the ostentatiousness of the place and the people just puts me off. I'd rather go for a holiday in Oman which is much more beautiful and has far more to see.
