I only know one person that blew an OEM turbo in any application, and he was running 30+ psi on an E85 tuned EVO. I'm in the camp that if you're running 20ish psi on a stock turbo, it's not going to fail from the power any time soon. But that's my assumption based on my experience. No one can tell you the actual reliability until we put some miles on our setups. |

And the faster the car, the more power it takes to gain even 1 mph in the quarter. Perfect example is the C7 Z06 and ZR1; it takes an extra 105 BHP in the ZR1 to trap ~6 mph higher (the ZR1 is an insignificant 35 lbs heavier). We know Stage 2 93 BM3/catless DP B58's are in the 420-430 WHP range and I believe Cary Jordan has tuned a couple full e85 B58's to around 460-470, so logically, an e30 tune would fall somewhere in between those numbers. I'll just be skeptical of 124 mph traps for now, but regardless, things are progressing nicely for this platform. I'm hurting some feelings out there. Nobody sees us coming.

^^ that e60 cjordan dyno is on eric’s car, right? Before he went mhd/jb4 I believe. Otherwise, that JB dyno has a sh!t ton of oscillation and inconsistency run to run. I’m sure it will get better with more tuning but, no matter how you slice it, making 500whp on stock turbos and a closed deck platform that runs scary hot is pretty impressive.

Maybe it was someone else. I thought it was on an X3M40i.

Maybe it was F80 Paul. It was on his wife’s X3M40i. I’ll find the info later.

Waiting for that e30 map release!
Excited for this platform, ran 50/50 on my N54 after a LPFP and loved the power increase, plus e85 mix runs cooler. |

With a tune alone do you support a full tank of e85? You can't answer for another user, I get that, but when it comes to full E85 can you point me in the direction of someone that is doing that reliably, no hardware mods and daily without concern? Thnx! **edit** I should have added "reliably" I mean anyone can tune for dyno numbers and then blow an engine but what is usable? Last edited by itsglen; 06-13-2019 at 11:50 PM.. |

thank you - is there a full e85 car without any mechanical mods that is running well from any tuner? Again, Im not a tuner fan boy just curious - and if you are not the person to answer my question sorry for quoting you
