So the consensus is that it'll fit an M Sport but the issue is that it's short on hardware (screws? pop-its?). Anyone know the part number to make up for the shortage?

For those who installed the mud flaps; did you have to take your wheels off to get the job done? I'm looking to order them for my 328i xDrive.

Question for all: I have an M-Sport with the side skirt extensions installed. I have rims in the back that stick out, and I am starting to get little chips on the rim lip. I assume that it is from rocks being kicked up from the front tire. Do you think front mud flaps would prevent this? An will they work on the front on an M-Sport with side skirt extensions?

Tried it last night, the side skirt extensions prevent them from fitting on. Anyone seen a part number for front mud flaps that are made to fit over the side skirt extension?

What tools are needed?
Hi, I just ordered a set of these off Amazon for $84. What tools do I need? I definitely don't have the tools or jack and jackstands to take off my rear wheels like someone else did.
Can I do it with a stubby Phillips screwdriver and leave the tires on? I've got a 2013 328I. Thanks. |

So, when i checked my rear wheelwell, i noticed that my car actually does not have any expanding rivets instead it's all hex bolts. I dry fitted the mud flat and it seems that all the holes lined up.

Installed mine today.
Ok I installed mine today. I was able to do it without taking the wheels off. The fronts were real easy to do because I could turn the tires out of the way. I just used a small punch to push the pins through the rivets, and an 8 mm socket for the one bolt. Real easy to do the fronts.
The rears were tougher to do because I had a hard time getting my socket in there, there's not much clearance with the rear tire but I was able to do it. I also used a drill to drill the holes for the self tapping screws that go on the bottom. They are self tapping screws but good luck trying to self tap them, I didn't have a little stubby screwdriver. Drilling small holes made the screws go in there super easy. So I mounted the mud flaps and tightened all the bolts first, then just drilled with it fully mounted. I think they look great, and you might be able to see some of the black spots on my car, that was from armor all that flings off my tires. I won't have to worry about that anymore. Basically all you need is an 8mm socket and a short extension, and a punch or something small to push the rivets in. I just used a pair of pliers to pound in the new rivet posts to lock them in. It's real straight forward and easy to do if you can fit your socket in there, and the fronts are super simple to do. Definitely no need to have a shop install these unless you have no tools at all, but then considering how much BMW would charge to do it, you could buy a set of tools with the money you save. I got mine on Amazon for about $80 with free shipping for the full set front and rear. They came from San Francisco BMW so they are the real deal genuine BMW mud flaps. Yes the expanding rivets are on the fronts. On mine it was 8 mm bolts. 2013 328I sport.

So, when i was taking out the front plastic rivets, the pins would fall into the fender as i pull the rivets out. Now i am worried that the pins will cause rattle in those areas, has anyone else experienced this?
