Countless times back when we used to be able to buy food and drinks by walking into retail establishments, I would have to repeat my order 5 or 10 seconds after saying "Large dark roast with room" or something similarly simple. I'm standing right in front of you, you hammerhead. I've got a foghorn of a voice and I speak flawless Midwestern news-anchor English. Try to focus on what I'm saying, since that's the sole reason for your existence at this particular juncture of the time-space grid. GRRRRR!!!

The truly screwed up part is that *every* freakin' business wants you to complete a satisfaction survey after *every* freakin' transaction, no matter how small. Some of them are simple "How likely are you recommend us to a friend?" questions. My answer is "Not likely at all" because I simply don't recommend places like Walmart or Best Buy to anyone ever. Not because of the store, but because I just don't make recommendations in general.

I went to our local hospital a few months back for routine blood work. Walk in, see the tech, he draws blood, and I leave. They pestered me for weeks to fill out a satisfaction survey. WTF? If there had been a problem, I would have said something. Otherwise, assume it went fine and leave me alone.

When I had a Lexus they were the worst. Incessant surveys and if you didn’t respond they had someone call you.

*looks around and whistles* You aren't wrong here. I will say that everything else customer service-wise with them, i have had nothing but positive experiences, but yes, they can an will drive you insane with their guerilla follow up tactics.

Looks like your package might be a little late. Unknown USPS sorting facility.

I currently have 4 very late packages with 3 different carriers - one of which is a replacement for a package they already lost! It disappeared when it got to the last big dist center - an hour from my house. Now guess where the replacement made it to before it went off the grid?

Assuming that dist center is the blackhole pictured above. Ridiculous.

The place reminded me of this scene.

Add me to the list
Order been in limbo in Stockton since December 8th with a previous scheduled delivery by of December 13th
Now there has been zero update since then
I only got an apology email from vendor saying my package was delayed
Looks like a refund in the near distant future

Yeah, I've got a couple of things I'd like refunds on. The trouble is, while the package is lost there's no way for you to return it and no way for the seller to request that it be sent back to them. It's just...lost in space.

I'm tempted not to blame the delivery service this time...ordered a treadmill from Costco back in November and it was limited quantities that only opened up for sale at 1pm exactly and expected to sell out quickly.

Got my order in and a notice that I could expect shipment in 2 weeks or so (ie. end of November). That rolls around and right past, so a few days after the anticipated ship date, I contact Costco to see what is happening.

Coincidentally (or not), an email arrives an hour after contacting them informing me I can expect another two week wait (to end of this week).

I suspect what happened is the vendor either overpromised or Costco oversold and hence the delay.

But I got a text last night indicating it had been picked up and was on its way. Happily, I also got a phone call today confirming whether they can deliver tomorrow...so maybe I will actually have a treadmill in my hands sometime tomorrow. Fortunately, they aren't using Canada Post, otherwise, I'd probably get it sometime next summer when it isn't useful.

DHL turned over my package to USPS on 12/8 less than 50 miles from me. USPS still shows they are waiting to receive said package.
I contacted teh vendor, and they wanted to verify my address so they could ship me a replacement.

"What do I do IF/when I get both packages? The dog can't eat THAT many vitamins"

No response yet.

Until now, I didn't think to ask them to use a different shipping method. . . .

Ran out to the truck to take a couple measurements on something I’m working on and had to do a double take. Package left behind the rear tire of my company car.

That's just beyond horseshit. And they're on the passenger side, in the hope that you wouldn't notice them until you'd backed over them. What a bunch of losers.

I’ve had UPS leave stuff near the garage door instead of the front door, but never anything that ridiculous. Who delivered those?

Similar to the crap I had happen to me. Whoever delivered the Amazon package left it at the far corner of my garage door. My 1 series is on that side of the garage front end facing out. So when I got into my car, of course, I didn't see the package. I proceeded to partially run over the package. Fortunately, there wasn't any damage to the item in the box nor my car.

We live at the end of the road deepest in the neighborhood with that car parked over 100 ft off the road. Gotta be the delivery folk. We’ve got a pretty bad problem with the mail in our neighborhood specifically.

USPS... it’s getting out of control. I laughed when I got home seeing packages at the entry to my front door walk way. Couldn’t make it the extra 40 ft I guess. Came back out a few hours later to this (we sometimes see up to five different USPS delivery vehicles a day...unbelievably inefficient)
