And if u get a 335 the front setup is already in place just paint it blue - so all u really gotta do is fix the rear setup.

Sadly my CA was mistaken she just emailed me the price and I found out she was thinking of the M Performance dealer-installed kit that we all know about (either $2,300 or $2,800, I forgot which) so the M Sport brake upgrade which is installed at the factory is not available in the US.

BTW - I too confirmed yesterday with my CA that the brakes are not in the order bank for the US. I guess BMWNA was decided to try to get a few more $$$ from us for the M Performance kit. |

No they are not. The rear rotors are larger on the performance brakes and they're fixed piston calipers. Not the same ...

I was able to make this observation yesterday in my dealer's showroom. The M Sport brake rotors look huge compared to those on a regular F30-335i.

M Sport Brakes rear rotors are the SAME size as the M Performance - they are just not drilled/slotted.

So for US, there is no difference between M Sport brakes and M Performance brakes?
How does that make any sense? The M Performance aren't even available in blue... |

You have one option - M Performance Brakes (which is essentially the same setup as M Sport Brakes... only w/ Slotted/Drilled rotors and not in blue).... and it will cost you a lot more money ... what's to not understand??? ...

This is gettin ridiculous and only confusin people further. If you don't understand check out the first page of the F30 Msport sticky - that displays and lists the info and differences for all. The answer u need is there.

Canada, 335i M-Sport has... - Standard (upgraded relative non m-sport) - M-Sport Brake Upgrade Option - M-Performance Brake Upgrade Option (includes slotted/drilled rotors, lack of blue) US, 335i M-Sport has... - Standard (upgraded relative to non m-sport) - M-Performance Brake Upgrade Option (bigger, slotted/drilled, rear discs) The confusion, for me, is that you keep calling the brakes M-Sport with no indication of whether or not they are standard on the US 335i M-Sport. |

- Standard (same as US 335i brakes) - M-Sport Brake Upgrade Option ($350 Upgrade Option - bigger rear rotor + upgraded rear caliper + blue caliper colour) - M-Performance Brake Upgrade Option (replaces entire stock setup - like $3K... is essentially same setup to M Sport Brake setup above + only difference is it includes drilled/slotted rotors) US, 335i M-Sport has... - Standard (same 335i Stock setup as Canada) - M-Performance Brake Upgrade Option (replaces entire stock setup - like $3K... is essentially the same setup as M Sport Brake setup for Canada + only difference is it includes drilled/slotted rotors)

Ugh. Can someone please close, delete, burn this thread? Add a definitive sticky that indicates there's no way in hell anyone in the US is going to get the M Sport brakes. It's seems everything that's floating around is inconclusive and/or full of all sorts of confusion.

You (US) are swapping out - ie. replacing your entire braking system. You are essentially buying a second set of brakes to replace your stock one w the M Performance setup ... where are I am only paying a bit more to upgrade a few parts. That is why your cost of an "upgrade" is a lot more, because you are in essence buying a second set of brakes. I can't explain this any more simply ... if you don't get it... I can't dumb it down anymore. Sorry

And the UK! I'd have snapped that up for £200 Oh, and it can't be the same setup as the M Performance kit. I don't see Brembo being talked about with the M Sport brakes. there's no way the exact same parts are $2000 dollars different for 4 discs which maybe cost $1000 at most. That would be mental. Has anyone actually checked part numbers and stuff for M Sport Vs M Performance callipers, brake hoses and all the rest of the kit?

The other $1000 you're referencing are the calipers ... and you just answered your question... they are about $1000 to replace (w/ a yellow, orange, red colour in the M Performace Package)... = $2000 My god ... this isn't that difficult. I'm trying to force myself not to respond ... but gawwwdddd.... it seems so basic to me. You guys don't have an "upgrade" option, so you're absorbing the cost through a compltely net new purchase????

lol ... I'm not trying to be a prick ... but I'm finding my patience to explain (i.e help/inform) others on the same topic that I've already explained exhausting.
