I recently pulled these shots off my camera from my Euro Delivery and they accurately depict how the color looks in varying light conditions:

Indoor High Pressure Sodium Lights

Direct Sun (Look at the right side of the car)

Overcast
sick pictures...def sold me on the color. i thought it was lemans blue looking at that WELT picture indoors

HOWEVER, in contrast, this EB i took looks a little baby blueish...

Also why do people call it EB and EB2? isnt it the same colour? i dont see ebII on bmwusa configurator. it just says EB

I'm in New Jersey, I saw an EBII in New Jersey, and it looks like this in New Jersey.

Go Hornets.

EB is the color used since the E36 M3. The M-Sport brings EBII which is nearly identical, but another paint code.

In fact it's so new that there is no touch up paint yet and I am nearing the end of my 4wk wait from the dealer for it to come in from Germany.

EBII: the most talked about colour. Obviously the best and sour grapes to those who've not ordered it!

BJ,
I thoroughly enjoy your posts.

Germany, Austria and Italy must have super special sun light that is different from NJ. I am bracing myself for when I see my car again in a few weeks!
A simple auto color correct in photoshop brought out the true color in your example:

It is girly.
It does turn purple.

Now stop buying it so I can be the only one around here with it.

LOL. Clearly, I'm just fooling around. EBII is a great color, truly is. Very unique, looks terrific on the M-Sport.

If you're in Bergen County, swing by and we'll study light refraction and listen to some Prince tracks together.

I had an E90 M-Sport and was all ready to re-up with an F30 M-Sport and might have even considered EBII except I had to have a Saddle interior, thus I'm a Luxury Liner.

Clearly by those pics anyone can see that saddle is Pumpkin Orange.

Pumpkin Orange is only a color for metro-sexual transgendered dwarfs.

I am creating a poll to confirm this right now.

I think a more interesting question is whether EBII will end up being a common color. Granted, these forums hardly represent the real world, but in dealer stock I've seen more EBII than: Melbourne Red, Havana, Liquid Blue or even Mineral White.

It only looks that way in Germany, Austria and Italy. You should see how brown it looks in New Jersey.

Do you really regret getting EB? I have seen the EB in cloudy conditions so I cannot confirm what it looks like in direct sun. The color is in the lighter side but it did not seem that much of a baby blue like some pictures depict. I actually showed it to my brother and he says it looks pretty cool and I just mentioned white and his reaction was white is more girly. Then again i guess it all depends on people. Right now my car is black with coral red interior and while two people have given me sh*t on the interior color a whole bunch had given only compliments. I am not leasing my car so I hope I have made the right decision ordering EB. Then again my car has not entered production so I might be able to change.

No way. It's only available on the M Sport, which I would be willing to bet is a very low volume line. In addition, all M Sports are not EBIIs, so an even smaller fraction will ship with EBII. I think it's safe to say it'll be one of if not the rarest F30 color.
