I had my car in yesterday for service and decided to approach both the salesman and the SA (separately) that I have a good relationship with. The salesman suggested BMW upgrades to be safe and the SA suggested Dinan if going aftermarket because of their warranty. He did not seem to have an issue personally but said that he has to put all claims through PUMA and that they have come back and denied coverage. Said they have the ability to see if there were "anomalies" within AFR, boost pressure, etc. caused by tunes. He was speaking mostly from a tune/engine standpoint. Also shared that a claim was denied because BMW found that the person was 4k miles past due on the oil change. Obviously sounded like an engine repair of some sort.

What I got from speaking to both individuals was they are personally not averse to mods and that BMW would be the entity to take action as opposed to them......and that based on experience, it's tough to hide certain things from BMW even if removed prior to coming in with a claim. So, this will keep me from getting too crazy with mods before my warranty expires.

Just to bump my thread, I'm still waiting for the codes to appear. Kind of bumming me out as I see cars roaming around with DP's and I'm still stock. I almost wondering if the JB4 caused those faults even though the guys at BMS say it is unrelated. Tuesday I will be three weeks stock and I have a dealer appointment for some other stuff.
