I tried the laptop to phone and it did not work. Bm3 app on phone could not detect obd agent. I had the laptop connected to obd. Ran the laptop agent to ready. Signed on bm3 app on android. Then it doesn't detect the obd agent.

Anyone hear any updates on fixing the rev hang on the manual cars? I have a xdrive 340 manual and always find the revs to jump up when taken to higher rpms and upshifting. (Foot completely of throttle when upshifting)

Have you noticed that if you upshift and coast, the car still holds the rpm at the perfect rpm for the next gear? Honestly I'm starting to believe the rev hang is linked to rev matching to a degree. They might need to disable all of it in order for the rev hang to go away.

I do believe this is accurate. To confirm, go somewhere safe and turn ESC off, to disable the rev matching. Watch those revs fall.

Personally, I don't mind the 'hang'... the only time I even notice is if I'm at the drag strip or otherwise doing a true launch, that second gear engagement can nearly chirp the tires despite AWD. You really feel it.

I have the rev match coded off and I use DSC OFF mode exclusively. I have intermittent rev hang most commonly on 1-2 shift sometimes 2-3 3-4 with the bm3 flash but not with my 2016-11 stock flash (I think .. I have to rollback and verify).

One comment was that if it wants to rev match .. it hangs until it knows if you're going up or down. But there's no 1-0 downshift so I don't buy that unless the brilliant engineer missed the most obvious edge case.

I just can't figure out what makes it hang. Precise timing of gas/clutch/shifter may be it.

Rev Hang still happens with DSC off/rev matching diabled.

Welp, there goes that idea. Thanks for the confirmation.

Timing is a mess but I don't see any knock.

Is this the stock tune? The log file shows "Stock".
What octane fuel and what mods are you running?

I had similar issues on the stage 1 91 octane tune on our crappy CA 91 octane and have had fantastic results running the new ACN 91 tune.

Does anyone know which burble setting came with our cars from the factory? Oem or Original?
Also, whats the order starting with least aggressive for ranking Oem, Original and OTS.

I've tried them all and can't really tell the difference.

Last thing, I've messed with the custom setting and lowered aggression and duration all the way in sport mode to give the exhaust three different settings, one for each driving mode. TBH, can't tell the difference between sport and sport+ when I do this. Does the custom adjustment even work?

Can you post a Stage 1 ACN 91 log?

I see one knock event at 2800rpm, just before the car overboosts and experiences a throttle closure. Timing looks better than the previous data log you posted.

Is this the v1.6 or v2.0 map? For me the v2.0 map greatly improved low rpm throttle closures like the one recorded here and may reduce knock as well.

Are you running a stock downpipe or high flow/catless? I would try the Stage 1 map ACN map.

That's the knock I saw. The timing towards the end look out of sync.

This is 2.0 since I never thought i needed acn map till now.

Im on catless downpipe.

Try logging a few more runs on the same gas and also on some different gas to see if the knocking is consistent. If so you may need to see if PTF will let you try the ACN91 stage 1 map.

I opened a ticket with ptf. I installed catless dp so I could go into stage 2. Would be pointless to have my dp now if I have to go down to stage 1 acn91 to preserve my motor.

Once I get some free time I'll run more logs in acn91 stage 2 and stage 1 wednesday night. Thanks for taking a look at my logs, I appreciate that

OEM = OEM
Original = Tuner's preferred burble recipe (same as OTS for OTS tunes, but different for custom tunes)
OTS = PTF's burble recipe for the OTS tune that your tune is based on

In my experience all will sound similar for typical OTS tunes. OTS is slightly more aggressive than OEM but not night and day difference. If you get a flame tune or something then you'll want to run "original" with the custom tune you choose.

The custom burble stuff is confusing and I finally saw someone explain it properly. Sport and Sport + are under the same category. Pressing DSC Off is separate. I can't remember which one coordinates to which, but stay in comfort and turn of DSC to experience your other aggression setting.

I'm pretty sure the exhaust burble settings are like this:
Sport = Sport/Sport + Mode
Sport + = DSC Off

It would make more sense is sport = sport mode and sport+ = sport+ mode, but i don't make the rules lol
