In my opinion this is the best BMW key fob upgrade available for the F and E chassis models.
I hope these guys just take your original board from OEM fob and put it into a new fob.
Also, fobs like these are widely available on eBay for $15-60, however, if you program that fob as a new, 90% that it would work like piece of shit))). Wy wife lost her OEM fob from X15 and locksmith brought a fob like yours, programmed it and now it works only when really close to a car, remote signal works no longer than 10-13 yards and comfort access works only for driver's side

Just unscrew instrument cluster and plug a box in the middle. It takes information about speed limits from original navi maps and displays on what you have (instrument cluster and/or HUD if any).

You certainly did!
4,14 sec.
Congratulations!

How many tries did it take? Do you use Launch Control?
I always wonder how healthy that is (if done many times)...

Plus the filter resides after the fan, smh. I had a leaf stuck in the blower recently. The a/c sounded like a baseball card placed in bicycle spokes. Had to drop the blower to get it out.

I have no idea how many times I've tried to run a 0-60, and I don't have any idea how the previous owner drove. But I have personally only used launch control less than 5 times. It is useless in rwd. Stock, stage 1, and especially stage 2. I just get into the gas and off the brake simultaneously. I might hit 900 rpm but its pretty much same time. Two feet. No dumping at 2k rpm. Feathering the gas pedal for maximum acceleration. I'm real stoked on that time and I'm gonna chill for a while. Thanks for the help!

Curious to know why you removed the side skirts to mount the extensions?

Probably to have a more ergonomic work space

I don't have a jack lift, was thinking about getting it but I barely work on my car so maybe when I get another set of wheels I might get it. I also don't want to drill into the "unknown", I don't know what's behind the side skirt, don't want to drill into wires since those are running along the side. Also want to make sure the screw drill into the side skirt not outward and mess up anything, this takes longer but it a more secure way IMO.

Thanks for the reply and yep that's basically the service... a chip transplant no programming required. Works exactly the same as it did before I sent it off with no issues.

I was Leary about some of the other options out there which is how I landed with Gates.

I saw the parts on eBay for cheap but ultimately decided not to attempt a DIY just to save money. This wasn't a critica mod for me and more a vanity thing so I wasn't under pressure.

Nice! I don't wanna be "that" guy, but would it not look better if you mounted the wheels with the spokes turning in the same direction ?

Yeah, it's one of the things they brag about with that particular model.

"The CVT requires four molds, rather than the typical 1 or 2 molds for standard cast wheels. As a result, the wheels on the drivers side and passenger side of the vehicle twist towards the same direction, whether it's a square or staggered fitment"

Would be a bummer to pay a lot of money and miss out on that feature
