It was easy enough and I don't see how you can go wrong with it really. Access is a little tight but since you're cutting plastic you will never see once the trim is reinstalled it's nothing to worry about. A small hacksaw blade is all I used.

Used it to move a few things to a new apt. A bit comical to use a coupe I know.. and one of the few moments I wish I had gone for something a bit more practical like the GranCoupe but no regrets overall
Then ran errands through the city, pictured here in Chinatown/Little Italy. |

Installed new trans mounts (e21 with akg limiter cups) a few days ago, quick wash today after a fun quick rip, looked over a few things and planning next project to take on, rear subframe and diff bushings

You get more engine noise, don't really hear the trans at all, it's perfect in my opinion, I just ran 70a Ecs poly mounts and they were very rough. Idle no vibration, you get a little vibration at 2100~rpm under light load, wife is sensitive and said it feels great. Highly recommend for a planted drivetrain feel Really a perfect balance |

You could do it without taking them off. But it's much easier to drill the holes if you can do it from above.

Spring Finally "Arrived"
Put the summers on - what an ordeal.
Ordered the wheels last summer (Apex EC-7s in Race Silver, 19/8.5 and 19/9.5) and due to COVID impacts on manufacturing and shipping it took months to get them (APEX was fantastic about keeping in touch and updating status - thanks!). Then when they arrived, I went looking for the tires (Michelin Pilot Sport 4S 235/40/19 265/35/19. respectively) and every source told me it would take until June to get a set. My local shop found a set in two weeks (phew). Then the dealier-installed wheel locks betrayed me (well, one did). A bit of brute force prevailed and they're finally on the car. Rolled it out to take pictures and got these just before the skies opened up (see the spots on the asphalt). Still worth every minute of the wait and every ounce of effort.

I installed E-sys, connected it to my car and stared at it for six hours this weekend.

Honestly I find it similar, but better. It is stiffer I for sure. But almost zero body roll and the wheels just hold the road regardless of undulations. Impressive is a word I would use. The progressive rate springs do their job.. The tradeoff is that I do feel every bump. That is also exacerbated by the low profile rubber on my 19" wheels. All in all, I would do it again for sure. I enjoy sporty driving. Twists and turns are no match for this car now. And despite being at least 20mm less than 704 suspension, I don't rub or bottom out. I'll be sure to report back in a couple thousand miles if I needed to get a backiotomy.

I guess upgrading sway bars, monoballs bushings etc... would make it even more precise but it always depend on how far you want to push it. As far as I can report, that's a great upgrade. I set up mine to 0.9 inch. I know the question is not oriented to me, but i hope this helps. |
