just a quick question, how did you find out about the part # deal, on your own?
Nice snag on the rears!! That actually puts you at about what I paid overall, since I paid full on the rears.

Yeah, it was a fluke. Ever since the mad sale on the M-LSD's a few years back (I was lucky enough to get in on that too), I always check some of the local BMW dealer part websites when doing research. Like, Fairfax BMW, BMW of Melbourne, BMW of Stratham, BMW Northwest, or whatever. Most of them seem to link into some nationwide BMW parts system or network. Many of them sort of have the same search user interface. I do that just in case BMW is running a deal or something (thinking of M-LSD situation). During one of my searches, I noticed the part number on the orange sets was superseded. I ran the old # (447) and found the price difference. That's when I called my local guy. He confirmed the price and then ordered for me.
well thanks for all that work, made me and hopefully 5 other people really happy haha. makes you wonder how many other deals you miss out on if you don't check stuff like this, or even just a random thread on a forum where people like you share their findings.

i called a dealer that had it listed at 1200, they told me they don't actually have the 447 part number in stock and only wanted to sell me the new production number that superseded the prior, at full price of course. don't trust what you see on the website, gotta call them to confirm it.

I wonder what the reason is for the new part # they sure are dumping the older ones. And this is only for the orange, I'm guessing there is a new paint formula or something along those lines...

either that or it's a color that sells poorly and they're trying to offload stock

Thanks! Crazy thing on these was I recently found that BMW superseded the orange sets #34112221447 to a new part #34112450470. This was on the orange kits only. I called Fields BMW parts in Daytona and the best parts guy in the world found a set for me and did a special order to secure them. I got the set ending in 447 (the ones being superseded) for $885. Not sure if any 447 kits are still out there or not, take a look you might find one.

Pads and fluid make a difference, for sure. I upgraded pads and flush fresh fluid and ran a few seasons just with those changes. I wanted to step up on my rears and had been looking for used sets for a while, but could not pass up this deal for a full kit (I practically got this kit for the price of some pad upgrades!). To be honest, I probably wouldn't have done it if I hadn't found this deal. The full price they ask on these kits is crazy. I would have got some used ones instead.

They feel great so far, I wouldn't say a big difference on day-to-day driving. Will have more of an idea once season starts back up again. I had to have them coded for my car, others have different experiences.
hey thanks for the tip on this, i texted my parts guy and he told me there's 5 left in the country, i got a set for 1100. still an amazing deal considering how much they cost normally
Please tell me how you did this! I wanna get a set ASAP!

I've done this before in my Infiniti couple of years back, so I've had some experience before. It could be a little intimidating at first. I also removed the steering wheel which makes It a lot easier to work on.

I ordered it off of Amazon and customized the color, there was quite of back and forth as they kept using the wrong color when trying to finalize the design but they eventually got it right and they expedited the shipping for me. I ordered it Saturday and received it Thursday

Got the tools out, and put the winterwheels on. Bought a set of second-hand rims, of a 750. Went for some Nokian tyres. Give us some snow. NOW!

Tried my hand at paint correction. I'm far from a pro but it's noticeably better. Lot of work though…

First time I'm using a cover on the car, usually it just sits bare. But yes, the 340 definitely gets treated way better than the truck even though the truck is way more useful. I remember when I wished I had a carport, then when I got a carport I wished I had a garage, and now with a one car garage I wish I had a barn.

We had 2 cars and a 1 car garage, bought the convertible and then a month later moved, had 3 cars with a 2 car garage. 1st world issue but never the less…… so I understand!

Installed a prepainted ebay "M3 style" trunk lip. For $75 (was on sale) I'm pretty happy with it.
