Based on local feedback and the type of driving I'm doing, I'm going with the PSS'. I may consider the AD08's for a dedicated track setup.
My question is whether going up by 10mm on the 8.5" and 9.5" 220M rims will result in a squishy sidewall when driving aggressively with the PSS'.

There are those that hate this new interior and will go audi next time. But there are also very many, like myself, that passed on the e90 and decided to look at audi because we didn't like the e90's interior and considered it to be old fogey. The f30 is bringing us to BMW vs Audi. They'll gain as many, probably more, than they'll loose. Last edited by 7or8; 11-19-2011 at 11:20 AM.. |

I feel with the F30 that BMW has lost the understated elegance they have always been know for.
I like the exterior okay...but the interior is busy and I really think it looks like something from a Japanese manufactuer. To make an analogy, I feel like they went from a understated Apple laptop design (simple, streamlined) to a Dell laptop type of design (plasticky, colored trim/lids). Everything just looks sort of overdone.....especially the air vents, dashboard lines, trim, and Nav screen. The worst is the M-Sport steering wheel. I realize this is a throwback but it just looks sort of goofy. I really think the E90/92 has aged amazingly well....I dont think in 7-10 years we will look back on this model and say the same thing. Keep in my I will probably end up with an F32 anyway, but just wanted to express my opinion |

Since when has BMW ever been known to provide the same ol' crap that its competitors provide? The F30 is just another notch on that respective bedpost. A polarizing car is a respectable car

The car looks ok on the exterior.
But the dash is ugly, doesn't look like a sporty car dash. The cloth M-Sport seats are ugly. The steering wheel is ugly. The engine bay looks so cramped that I don't know how you could slap even an aftermarket intake in there. The engine is the single-turbo N55 which has known tuning limitations. Well, the lack of alternatives could sway me to an F30 some time from now, but right now I really don't like how it turned out.

Really looking forward to see this in real life, because I'm not thrilled with how that interior looks in those pics.

BMW hands down better, than before!!!

Totally agree on that. I really believe that the f30 will become somewhat legendary among tuners and long-time owners. Its a great platform and give you options that were not in the 3 simply, because it was considered the lesser car. Nonetheless, has the best of handling that 5's or 7's try to emulate. I am most happy about the "328"i its engine will be great, since its a low displacement my tax bracket will get lower. Fuel consumption and performance are up, and are easily upgradable just like 335i has been. You need to consider that my 2005 330i cost me almost the same as a e92 M3 loaded stateside (US). My only reward is that Euro spec 240hp~~. But its still not enough!!!!! Will def wait for M sport pack BTW!! Last edited by dlopez; 11-19-2011 at 07:08 PM.. |
