Experienced this twice today. I picked up my 335i msport yesterday with 100 miles on it due to a dealer transfer. Also car is pulling to the right and vibrates slightly from 40-60 mph. I am in love with the car but these problems are nerve-racking for the 2nd day.

I haven't had the fan issue since 800 miles ago but yesterday driving all day in 80deg temps I noticed that the oil temp gauge was reading at the quarter mark between 160 and 250. All my other n55s go a hair to he left of 250 unless it is over 100 degree heat. I was expecting the fan to come on but nothing. No dead throttle but in comfort mode when I floored it without hitting the kickdown button, I noticed there was maybe a 1 second lag before the car took off...maybe just turbo lag in comfort mode? Or less throttle response? Sport mode seemed fine
I hope the previous fan faults are still stored because I think I'll take it in in a few weeks |

Our dealer found a fault code and replaced the "cooling fan" earlier this week. Only happened once, but our dealer said that they did not want to take any chances so they ordered the part and replaced it under warranty.

Nice. Seems like there needs to be a recall!

My electric cooling fan has been bitten the dust twice.
I just got a call from my SA yesterday. He said the culprit was a faulty relay. He also said that the car needed a new water pump. I'm currently waiting for one to be delivered from Germany. Cruising around in a F30 328i base model at the moment. I really believe that the F30 328i is a huge improvement over the E90 version. JMHO.

Limp Mode Once Again
Happened this morning. Aux fan already replaced once at around 1000 miles mid January. Have 3k on it now. This is BS!
I guess I'll wait and see if it happens again before taking it in.

I don't know, but I left a message with my SA to do some research before I bring it in again. Seems unlikely the aux fan would fail again in one month.

This is crazy. Just read the whole thread and kind of worried since I also have Msport. 4500 miles, but have not experienced the issue yet.

UPDATE:
Car fixed, dealer scanned car, found codes, didn't know what to do, PUMA'd it, replaced the relay, Whatever that that is. Whoever has this issue I urge you to bring it in and have them scan it. At least get the issue documented. Gl I haven't driven the car yet so I can't report if this is really resolved. Time will tell I guess. Will report back on this thread if it pops up again. |

Welp. It happened . . . again. BMW has replaced my electric cooling fan twice. They have replaced my relay and water pump. Yesterday, my electric cooling fan crapped out for the third time. Good thing my replacement is awaiting a shipping vessel.

I've only had that one electric cooling fan replaced at 3,000 miles, I'm at 5,000 miles now. It hasn't gone into limp mode since, knock on wood. |

Limp mode problems again! So even with HPFP fixed apparently now its a different issue! I was sure bmw would absolutely guarentee no limp mode problems given the fiasco with the e90 335s. Shocking.
Doesn't bode well for the turbo m3 coming up. You can hate on the S65 V8 but man is it bullet proof in 100 degree track use all day long and that says something to me. Driving on the roads at 80 and the car is in limp? Imagine on a track this thing will be obliterated |

For the most expensive line this is embarrassing for bmwna.
And what's holding up the bloody PPK! Ack, would they figure it out already.
