As I said, I "believe" that the changes to the MT were for all MTs, but it the Msport clearly states that that is an Msport thing, then let's go with that. BTW, I looked up the gearing of the MT in the 335i and was surprised to find that the drive gears have not changed from what I have in my 09 135i MT. The only change is a shorter final drive from the previous 3.08 to the F30 MT's 3.23. It'll help to move it out better, but highway cruise rpm is going up as well. |

No Active Cruise with M Package??
So wait... did I read that right in the ordering guide? No Active Cruise Control with the M Sport Package?! Don't tell me I need to wait to MY14 to get both.

What was interesting to me was how common blue/black interiors were -- not just on blue cars, but also on silver and other colors. Amazingly, the most common interior for the silver cars was all black. My two-tone grey/black is actually extremely rare, for some reason. I'd think the less gaudy two tone interiors would have been more popular? For an F31? I really want the lovely saddle brown, but BMW makes you buy the Luxury line for that.. ick. Guess the interior will have to be some form of black. Would love Estoril M sport with the blue trim.. or a big-bird mode atacama yellow with black interior |

Updated M-Sport Wallpaper Images on bmw.com
FYI -- BMW has updated and improved the wallpaper images at bmw.com. These images are more photo-realistic and include all the latest M Sport visuals for each model (including xDrive). Here is a direct link to the configurator:
http://www.bmw.com/com/en/newvehicle...isualizer.html When you download a wallpaper image, the default Model=3A51 (AG code for European 328i sedan, from the Pricing & Ordering Guides). This code is part of the URL in the browser, so you have to edit it to display the other models. You can also add or delete option codes. The examples below are for an M Sport configuration with the URL changed to Model=3B93 (USA 335i xDrive sedan). Note the USA foglight deletion, USA amber side reflectors, and xDrive emblem on the rear deck. Example model numbers include: 3A51 European 328i sedan 3A53 USA 328i sedan 3A91 European 335i sedan 3A93 USA 335i sedan 3B51 European 328i xDrive sedan 3B53 USA 328i xDrive sedan 3B91 European 335i xDrive sedan 3B93 USA 335i xDrive sedan This is now a better place to check out the M-Sport colors. |

Thanks for that link! I'm not smart enough to make blue brakes though....used the small configurator to make a M sport, in black....with proper wheels...still nothing.
EDIT: when you click the download it opens a new window...now it has blue brakes. hmm interesting. in black it really needs the foglights for appearances Last edited by Mrcarcrazy; 05-17-2012 at 01:00 PM.. |

M-Sport Brakes are option code 2NH, so you can add or delete S02NH (code with S0 prefix) in the URL to add or delete this option in the wallpaper image. Some options appear automatically when you download the wallpaper, even though they are optional. |

On a side note, LOL at Cadillac for making RFTs standard on their 2L turbo models. Obviously, they didn't spend much time reading BMW boards. |

That's it! Thanks to this guy, I'm no longer getting a base model. I had a tenuous hold on my "Man Card". But now, I've stepped back from the brink.

I'm gonna get the LED fog lights like the one on the c class. It'll look awesome on the M Sport Package. I got a quote for $60 a piece so it's not bad either...

I'll probably leave mine alone...as I promised the wife "I won't change anything other than tires". It'll be our DD, so reliability is #1, the rest is just extra. |

Model Designation Deletion
FYI -- For those thinking about de-badging, you can enter Option Code 320 "Model Designation Deletion" into the bmw.com download image to check out the difference. Here is an xDrive M Sport, shown with badges and without:
