Ok, earlier in this thread it states the part number is "6550 9296939, which is superseded by 6550 9347878."
However on eBay the F10's 10.25" say that the part numbers are 6550 9247872 and 6550 9243903 And 6550 9266385 And 6550 9289008 My head feels like it's about to explode. What are the correct number(s) for this? |

65509247872 and 65509243903 are not listed in ETK. 65509266385 and 65509289008 are definitely not correct, they are for the F10. Don't bother about the part number, just search for F15 or F16 monitors.

I also love that leather dash. Looks stunning compared to my plastic one!

See below how it should look like if done correctly (which I did in December 2014 already). And/or look at my thread in the German F30 forum from here and read ahead.

I just tried it out and I agree with you, the angle should be like yours. Also, there is a gap between the bottom of the screen and the dash, just like yours. There's no other way. The screen should be held by two clamps at the bottom and 2 at the back. I'm not sure why david's display doesn't have the two back clamps. I attached the comparison photos below. |

Well, we widened it a bit at the places shown in pic #2 and #3 of this post. But of course not like shown in this post (that's insane).
But I believe that we could have avoided even that if we would have had the guts to remove more material from the metal housing. Quote:
I can't even recall exactly if we did remove those back clamps or not (I would need to remove the monitor to check). But they're not needed to hold anything. Once tightened with the screws, the device is perfectly fixed.

Of course, "we widened it a bit" means that we did remove some material from the dash on the L/H and R/H side at the places #2 and #3 of shown in this post. But not more than really necessary.
