I generated a ‘Lifetime’ FSC code following a DIY a couple years ago... can the same software be used to generate the FSC code required? Also I scanne through this post and count see where to enter the FSC code in E-Sys? I would have PM’d but I don’t have the privileges! Thanks in advance Alex |

CIC keeps rebooting
I have a CIC.16 and one of those lucky ones that don't need the FSC for apps activation I believe.
I have FA_WRITE the FA/VO with $6NR and then SG_Codieren to CIC and Media. The CIC Head Unit now shows BMW Connected Drive with Apps Sub Menu. When I connect the phone using the USB in armrest and start the "BMW Connected" App on the phone, I see "BMW Apps Loaded" on the CIC. And then it reboots, it does this every time without fail. Tried two different genuine Apple USB cables with same results. Any ideas?. ALso checking the SG_Codieren Job on the CIC and media doesnt need to have any MAN or TRC files correct? Thanks |

CIC keeps rebooting
Hi Shawn,
I have tried all the tools I have got, except ISTA, cant seem to see beyond the CIC.16. Anyway the question is, assuming I have the correct version what could I be possibly doing wrong to have the system reboot like that? I am not sure if the Coding I am doing is correct, especially when some folks are saying I need to code with an empty MAN file. Also how do I validate what version of Daten file I have ? (If you know ) How is it done in the F series anyway? Thanks again. |

E-Series or F-Series, it is just VO Coding CIC and CMB_MEDIA Modules for 6NR. Car needs v.41 firmware, of newer firmware combined with a 9C FSC Code. And make sure 6VB is not in FA.

Hi all,
Can somebody confirm to me if either of these 2 VIN numbers support BMW Apps? They both have ConnectedDrive in the menu. P709274 production date 06.15 VZ29629 production date 07.14 Thanks! |

I'm currently in the process of buying the actual vehicle attached to the 06.15 head unit, if I replace with the 07.14 ENTRYNAV, does that just mean I'll lose access to ConnectedDrive functionality minus BMW Apps? I was wondering if it's possible to migrate the other lot of FSC certs over to the 07.14 unit - but I believe you can't mix and match |
