Exactly. Although my car now has very bright white HID bulbs, the cutoff line is just awful with reflector housings.
I was next to a new E Class at traffic light tonight and very sharpened cutoff line and colour intensity of his car's light blew me away. Good quality projector lenses are essential for our cars and shame on BMW for making Ultimate Day Time Driving Machines. |

Here is a link to the install video USR put up here in the States.
I've had mine installed for a week and think they're great. My only advice is to remove the plastic wheel well/fender liners before you start. It makes removal and installation installation much easier, especially if you have a long shank T30 torx driver. In addition to the tools listed in the video you will need a 10mm socket and an upholstery removal tool (for the push pin clips on the underside of the fender/spoiler). Good luck guys. You're really going to like these.

As I saw mentioned on this board previously, the FAQ section of the HIDS4U site, which has an interest in selling these things, states: Unfortunately no aftermarket HID kit is strictly road legal as you are changing the lighting system (from halogen to gas discharge) in your car and for this reason the bulbs can't be E marked which is a legal requirement. You also won't have the self leveling and washer systems installed which is also a legal requirement for HID and without these installed the kit would be an MOT failure. HID kits are plug and play so they are easy to remove and replace with standard bulbs come MOT time. http://www.hids4u.co.uk/faqs.html |

I assume that even with these kits, some will slip through the MOT, but some won't. |

Let's not get into the legalities of stuff lads, washers are a requirement for HID/Xenon lighting here in Northern Ireland but not in England, Scotland or Wales. You guys will be absolutely fine with these headlights.
