Thanks! Forgot to mention, I also have done oil analyses, and all come up clean.
Alpina gauge cluster. You can code it if you have 6WB full digital cluster on G30.

My 2016 340i 6mt has 111k miles. Got it 2½ years ago with 40k. Stage 1 for about 50k. Only issue has been the emergency call battery malfunction which I coded out. Nothing else but tires and oil.

I have a 2016 Bmw 340i with 93k miles. Running like a beast. Got catless dp, m performance exhaust, and currently running mhd stg 2 tune. Only thing i replaced were oil and went ngk 1 step colder spark plugs and dinan coils. No issues whatsoever.

55k Miles
Purchased my 2018 340i xdrive with 30k miles off a lease. Old lady had it before me. First week was catless dp, intake and mhd stage 2. Been running amazing since, just oil changes.

Currently around ~73k miles on my 2016 340i xdrive. Starting to lose coolant again so I'm suspecting the water pump has failed again. First one was leaking and replaced under warranty.

For those who have less than 100k miles, don't bother posting lol
Literally the thread says HIGHEST mileage, and under 100k miles, your car is still a baby.

These days, every car should go 200k before any major problems. Heck, I had a 2001 330i and a 2008 328i, both had about 200k when I sold them. Neither had any major issues. I bought both with a little over 100k and just drove them. Sometimes it’s best to stay off forums looking for potential issues and just go enjoy your car!

Plus most B58s get modified to some extent, so a huge contributing factor to a reduced lifespan.

Online forums exaggerate problems and make things seem worse than they are. Remember, people come on forums to post about problems, not the thousands of trouble free miles. |

There are many reasons for vehicles lasting less - from tight tolerances and low cost manufacturing to complexity. Probably not the right place to start discussing this and in fact it has been discussed extensively elsewhere.

P.s. Funny story - when I read all the horror stories about my Audi engine having a timing chain which extends with time (due to faulty design) and all those owners who had catastrophic engine failures just at or prior to 100 000 km I thought the same - don't take forums too seriously, anything is possible, but normally modern engines last longer. And mine in fact did - the timing chain slipped at 108 154 km - roughly 10 000 km later than the average forum user! Yaaay! So I joined the "exaggeration" club. You can certainly pretend problems don't exist and just ignore them and hope for the best.

Hi!! I’m am so lost on what Each JB4 map does.
I have a 2017 340i. I have a BMS air intake And VRSF Catless Dp. I will be running 94 octane. Now. I don’t want to push the car to its limits. I want to stay somewhat safe. What map would you recommend. On thé JB4 website it says… Map0: Stock tuning, fully disable JB4 Map1: 3psi over stock added (91 octane) Map2: 4psi over stock added (91-93 octane) Map3: 6psi over stock added (93+ octane) Indicating Map 1 is weaker then 3. But on here. Everyone’s saying map 3 is weaker. And 1 Is strongest. Please kindly educate me! Thank you |

JB4 can't modify timing, and the DME will auto adjust by running the car more lean (which is why on WOT, AFR in 5k+rpm you'll see it around 13.5-14) Believe me, it's literally impossible to push this car to it's limit without a bigger turbo+additional fueling. Run a flash tune (either MHD/BM3) and a downpipe and if you want more in the future, add ethanol. If your DME is locked, there's a few shops in MTL that will bench unlock for you. Also, warranty wise, JB4 is detectable.
