"I have a JBx and they have all repairs covered under warranty" Well, if you're JBx was plausible connected to the need for a repair, then this is is just the same as an insurance scam. You may have "won", but you have impacted all of us in the future.
"This should be standard" Why - BMW does just fine with 300HP against G37, CTS etc with 330ish. The tune satisfies the enthusiast crowd and they can make it standard when they do the mid life LCI model. It also allows you to buy a used M-Sport at some point and juice it up for fun. BMWNA has mpg and emissions targets to meet, and if they are competitive in current state of tune, why adversely affect that when 99% of customers are satisfied. "Why are they ignoring F10s" They aren't. M-Performance product roll out in the US includes F10s. It is not as extensive yet, because the take rate will be much lower and every component has to be certified by US regulators. I suspect this will be available for the F10 shortly. If you want a specific part or tune for your car that you know is available elsewhere, then by all means mention it here, but if you aren't also calling BMW NA and requesting to speak with the M-Performance parts manager as well as writing to them, then the brand managers have no ammo to go to the Boardroom with to get the green light.

If you port install, you get all 4/50k If you dealer install you get remaining of 4/50k. If you self install, you get 2 years. I'm dealer installing since I have a 6 year/100k warranty...ill pay more but have coverage until the end. And yes it matters to those of us who use this car daily.

I bought mine from getbmwparts.com (Tischer BMW), where I've purchased quite a few things over the past several years. $935 is even better than the 20% BMW CCA discount I could get at my dealer.

335i Power Kit
I will be trading off my 09 335i M Sport, in a few months time, but here's the problem BMW, when I build the 335xi M Sport the way I want it, and then add this power kit and a set of Akrapovic exhaust, I'm well over $60,000!! At that price point, the CLA45 AMG, with its 355 hp, AWD, and a true AMG, start to look like a better deal! hhhhmm

Seems like a pretty good deal to me. Essentially, they're taking the 335iS off the board, and you get the same performance numbers for $1,000. The iS E92 was maybe $4-5K more than the standard 335, wasn't it? If guys want the extra performance, that seems like a good tradeoff to me.

The vehicle is based on a FWD based chassis, and the 3.0 FI I6 is IMO a much more refined engine. Yea it has some new AMG AWD, but with a transverse mounted engine it can't be really "that" much more performance oriented since I imagine the front axle is always engaged.

I'm not surprised if it may be underrated....for 1100 why would BMW state something that is more powerful and eeek into potential M4 buyers? If it was like 350-370HP i would be less inclined to consider getting an M down the road. If they underrate, they can keep the M distinguished and keep us 335 guys confused and happy all the same.

Example 1: 3 year old car with 48,000 miles installs the PPK....the new vehicle warranty will expire within 2,000 miles or 1 year (whichever happens first) but the PPK warranty would be 2 years from install, unlimited miles. Example 2: 1 year old car with 8,000 miles installs the PPK....then the PPK warranty falls in line with the new vehicle warranty, and will be in effect for the remaining 3 years or 42,000 miles of the new vehicle warranty. Example 3: Brand new car gets the PPK port installed before delivery...then the PPK is just like any other part on the car and it's all covered 4 years, 50,000 miles. |

For the PPK, my dealer quoted me $1250 plus 1.75hr for install, 0.8hr for coding. Tischer sold me the PPK for $987.95 (with their "Spring Thaw" $50 discount until 3/31 on orders over $1000 and free shipping). My SA understands that I am going to find the best price on the parts, it's not as if the local dealer is going to "refuse" to install it because I bought it somewhere else...they are looking to create a relationship and generate an ongoing stream of service revenue...they will happily take your money to install even if you buy the kit elsewhere. My SA even installed my H&R springs for me after I negotiated the labor rate down to a reasonable figure. |

Yes.
When BMW first announced the PPK months ago, it was mentioned they will have one for a variety of models including the 328.

any pics of the 'rocker panel' decals ?or are they the same as on the white/black striped BMW M performance car. I'm inclined to tell dealer not to put these on but just curious.

I added this to my 2008 135i a couple of years ago. I did dyno runs before and after. Not only was the car originally underrated by approx 22hp, the kit was underrated by approx 11hp. Same goes for the torque. After the kit I'm somewhere around 350bhp and run quicker than my friend's e92 M3 up to about 85mph. Then his extra hp takes over. Trust me, you'll feel the difference with the kit. It's worth the money for the peace of mind having the warranty too.
