Ha, yes walk by it most weeks as my daughter lives nearby so free parking to do Baiter and the Quay.

I'll agree about the location and yes it does need some TLC but I thought it was due to be renovated. Its always been 'hanging on in there' in that respect Its a strange area to be honest, they did the big complex next door but that hasn't really taken off as loads of empty units.

so we only manage that business (unusual for us) and it changed hands recently.... and yes they do seem to want to redevelop the site but that is a bit more challenging than they thought I reckon.

Next time I am down we will have to have a beer on the front!

Absolutely There are some brilliant and very historic pubs close to the Hotel and many were an intrinsic part of my beer drinking glory days, happy to give you the tour when this sh_t storm finally comes to an end.

Nope, Thistle was bought out as a PLC a good many years ago, and then sold again by the people who took it private. The provincial ones were sold as there was no money in them (in the world before staycations..) and we retained the ones we run ourselves in London (6), plus one at Heathrow, 1 at Poole, and 2 Thistle Express that we created to try the concept.
