I've heard of this happening before ... the ship should still land 24 hours before or after the scheduled port of call date/time though. Just because it gets to that area 7 days early, doesn't mean it will dock that early. Not how it works, unfortunately.

Just got picked up and on the Valiant Ace.

Unfortunately there's now a whole bunch of stopes on the way..8 or 9 then to Brunswick GA on the 16th-Sep, what's odd is its supposed to be PCD which should be a different port.

The wait continues.

My CA told me Mon 08/05. Unfortunately it has not shown up yet and he keeps saying any day now.

I don't understand how they can't give us a robust ETA. It is a huge god damn effin car. And it is on a truck and trucks have tracking on them and ETAs unless they have an issue. Mine also keeps telling me any day, but any day sounds so unprofessional.

Ahh I remember this feeling.

BMW is responsible for transporting the vehicles, not the dealer. It's almost like a baby being dropped off at your doorstep randomly, from the dealers perspective.

Also, the CO has to be fedex'd from the BMW NA office separately a day after the vehicle hits the dealers lot. It's a control procedure to prevent theft or false registration during the transit process.

You will have it within 7 business days of it hitting the port of call

I've never heard of forum members here in the NJ/NYC area not having theirs within that time period.

Plus I just heard back from the finance guy at the dealership who confirmed the lease payment I came up with using the various lease calculators I found on this site and online....starting to get ancy...its gonna be a long week

But the dealer is supposed to have access to this information right? I mean can't they see when the truck is going to arrive?

My car hit the port on Aug 1st. It has been 7 days already. Hopefully I'll get a call today or tomorrow to go pick up the car. There are also M Performance parts being installed to the exterior and the car is gonna get tinted. I hope it doesn't take long...........................

No, they don't have access to it, unless they happen to "know someone".

I stopped by the dealer last night. My CA told me the computer has updated to Monday 08/12 for dealer delivery. So wish I had it for the weekend!

That's not entirely true. We have access to everything related to the shipping of the car. After it gets the port, we get an ETA of when the car should be delivered, which is usually a couple days later unless the car is having lots of Performance parts installed or damage to the vehicle that needs to be repaired

Just got an email saying my delivery looks like it will be on Wed the 15th
