You can not Upgrade PX6 Units from Android 9 to Android 10.

Anyways would be cool if he could share that update for other PX6 users if he got a file from his seller.

His unit came with this version. The seller is not very helping in providing the file : already asked several times.

Of course if I get the file, I will share it.

PS: downgrading is not possible on our units?

Anyone know of a newer MCU than the one I've got? Andream are refusing to give me a newer version - it seems much more difficult to get hold of MCUs on these Snapdragon units than it used to be with the px5/6 ones.

I'm with you in that. I've been trying to get an update from Andream for moths, finally managed to get one. The approach that worked form me (eventually) was to point out a bug in the MCU and regularly message them.

It's a different unit, sorry. I have CCC iDrive, and the bug I experienced was related to controller behaviour when after switching between OEM and Android it would stop responding in Android mode. But I recently started bombarding them with PDC issue as it doesn't stay up for the same time as OEM does - if you know what I mean. PDC view turns off even when parking sensors still work and are making sound. So if you have similar issue, try this as your argument.

what version of MCU do you have right now? I also have CCC from Andream and installes the latest MCU (which i found here) but still facing the iDrive not responding issue now (didn't have it before with an older MCU)

I got 200617 version from them not so long ago.

I think you can downgrade to the older version if this doesn't work for you.

What contact details were you using to speak with them? I'm having no luck at all via aliexpress - all they will say is "sorry friend, we don't advise you update" no matter what i say.

Ah famous "friend" tag. I'm using AliExpress app to chat with them via Andream Official Store or whatever it's called. You honestly need some leverage to get any update, find something that is wrong with your MCU (I'm sure there is something) and point out this bug to them, make a video and try to explain same thing in 3 different ways. That's the best advice I can give you :/

no worries, I'll keep trying. I don't NEED it as such I just hate not being on the latest version of things.

One more CarPlay question, I use auto kit with my iPhone and while in the android side if I unplug my phone from the cable it switches me from android back to the oem bmw screen automatically to the aux selection, is there a way to stop it from doing that that? Is there some setting?

It's just a pain in the *** to get updates, even for the firmware. I keep telling them that a new version is here..."the engineer said there is no update"
I even asked them for the current MCU, just for backup purpose...no luck

Chinese support is a joke...

Yep, the support is far from acceptable. I kinda understand the approach "if it ain't broke don't fix it" but these updates are there for a reason.

On the topic of kswmedia... myself and few others reported that countless times to our sellers, but still nothing has been implemented. Not only the order is completely random, but also if you load up too many files the kswmedia app will crash, so that's that

Yes, this is to be expected. You have replaced OEM screen with SD625... no wonder ISTA-D can't find OEM screen anymore.

Indeed. It’s also disrupting the link between the OEM headunit and screen multiple times, especially when switching between Android and PDC/OEM headunit functions.
