Hi!
Is it possible to restore the firmware version Ksw-S-M600_OS_v1.2.0-ota (A12) to Ksw-R-M600_OS_v2.4.2-ota (A11) with recovery mode (_kswota_ for version 2.4.2) Ksw-R-M600_OS_v-ota -only-reset-data_factory.
If not, what is the way to restore the firmware?
I would like to mention that I upgraded the BMW X1 F48 Evo from A11 to A12 without any problems and everything works fine, but I would like to return to the previous version until they fix the bugs and release the official upgrades.

I love when people ignore information that is put out there and then ask questions how they can reverse things...

Also don't get where this "official update" thing is coming from. Every update is official as there is only one source releasing these updates - Chinese developer KSW and they don't have separate release channels for those who signed up for beta and the rest. Every software version they release, every software version that comes preinstalled on these devices is experimental, user debug, beta, full of bugs and constant "work in progress".

Quick question:
When you are in android mode and using climate controls does screen goes to idrive screen or not? For me on my audi it goes to mmi system and until change is finished or i click cc wheel to confirm it doesn't go back. I would really like for it to stay on android and just do overlay with info. Is it possible?

No it does not go back to iDrice. Vast majority of BMWs have a small, dedicated climate control display.

With all due respect, I must tell you that in my case it is pure curiosity, enthusiasm and desire for new knowledge. Sometimes at a high price.
You have reached a high level of knowledge in this matter, but admit to yourself that you yourself started in a similar way.

Of course I did. I knew nothing about these units when I started... that's why I read very carefully everything before I commited to making any changes and I was fully aware of potential risks and complications.

I also think and read similarly, but there is a lot of it. I purposely upgraded it to version 1.2.0 A12 regardless of the consequences. That was a challenge.
Nothing bad happened, but I thought it would be good to temporarily restore it to its original state, but it seems that it is not easy.

Me too I have three zone climate control with display but it switches to android and goes back when I confirm changes.

Sorry if I'm being stupid or this has been answered before but Is there a specific config file, or can I update my existing config file to add UI_ID8.
I have modified my existing config file and in settings I can now select UI_ID8 but it does not change the UI.
This is how I added the line to config. Have I done it wrong or do I need a different config file?. I should add I'm currently running Android 11 2.4.2 and using the config file supplied with 2.4.2 from my seller. Any help is appreciated. Many thanks

You can use your config file. The line needs to be BMW_ID8_UI, not UI_ID8 - that's wrong.

KSW-ToolKit Service Ver. 1.0.2.2 with good improvement of Night Brightness function is now available. A12 is also supported.
Please use the official version Ver1.0 as the client software.

I don't understand you, if everything is going well, why do you want to go back to A11?

I'm still on 2.4.2 and am considering updating to A12, but my previous problems have all been resolved (Alexa + battery save message in apps) here, so I'm afraid to switch to A12...

There is no particular reason. Everything works fine, but I thought I'd wait for the official updates and comments and then upgrade again.
I note once again that there is no reason to return.
