Looks like we have the same production week Bill, my car was also produced last week in Munich. When I called the 1800 number it said my car was in transit. Maybe we'll be on the same ship.

Ordered 3/29
Production number received 5/2 Production started 5/9 Production complete 5/16 Loaded on boat TOSCA 5/26 Arrived at port of Baltimore 6/10 US Customs 6/11 Released from US Customs 6/17 Service order issued 6/18 Service order completed 6/24 Dispatched to carrier 6/26 At dealership according to BMW NA 6/28 Dealer says it's not on the lot... Scheduled to pick it up on 7/1 Woot and 3 months later I will get a car. If the dealership had an allocation ready or they actually traded for one my wait would've been only 2 months. Let me tell you that the wait is horrible. Best case scenario the wait would have been 6 weeks which I don't think it would have been that bad. After 2 months it gets unbearable. I think I started hating my car before I even got it. I will think hard if I would do it again. Refreshing the forums every 5 minutes won't save you. Actually it will drive you insane. Anyways I am excited and I can't wait for tomorrow. I will post a pic or two after I get her in my procession. |

Black grills. Customs held the car for long. If i knew it would take this long I would've gotten them off ebay and install them myself. Also it seems like the port of Baltimore seems to move cars a lot slower. I am not sure if it is because it is Mercedes VPC or the volume of cars that goes though there is just overwhelming.

Ship docked 07/02 in Brunswick, CA said it cleared customs and was released to carrier same day. Hoping it is in route now. Should find out more tomorrow at dealership.

Hope to have by Tuesday. Better pictures then.

How long does it normally take from port until the car is ready to be picked up? According to BMWNA and my CA, my car arrived at port today in NJ and my dealership is about 30 min away. The thing that I was a little confused about was that BMWNA and my CA both said my car was on the Heroic Ace, which did not dock in NJ, but rather Brunswick. So I don't know if my car was then transported up to NJ from there, and whether it was processed in the Brunswick VPC or NJ.

Just did my 2014 320i order the other day. It is being shipped from South Africa (SA) and I was told it would take about 2 - 2.5 months.
Now how am I suppose to wait patiently? |

I ordered my car on April 26 (built in SA), went in production on April 29, and I hope will be ready for delivery by the end of this week or the next. This weekend will mark the 11th week and it's been hard waiting.

Just received my 335i yesterday. Here's my timeline.
My CA told me that this would be an SA build and delivery would be in mid August. Luckily I must have gotten an earlier build allocation and it was built in Munich, saving me more than a month. Ordered 5/19 Production Begins 6/9 Production Ends 6/13 Leaves Bremerhaven 6/18 Arrives at Brunswick 7/2 Arrives at dealer 7/7 Delivery 7/8 |

Wow! Three months wait is crazy! Guess I have even more time to study up on the F30's.

Thanks. The interior color was the one given in our decision to order. Weren't sure of the exterior color, but it had to be saddle brown interior.

So i have been anxiously waiting on my '14 335i xdrive to arrive. The dealer has been assuring me that its on the boat... its somewhere... it will be here... but would never give me any firm details. After a while i thought he was just BS'ing me just to get me off his tail. I called the 1800 number today and it said "Your vehicle is at the exit port waiting to board a vessel" or something to that extent.... so i freaked and spoke with a human being.
My car arrived @ Port on 7/8/2014 and is currently @ the VPC where there is a work order open on it. Customer Service said it just appears to be the routine inspection that the vehicle undergoes when it arrives in the states. Car should be at the dealership this sunday....but i will out of town with the family for the ENTIRE WEEK!!!! All that waiting.... and now i have to wait an additional week... but i'm glad that shes one step closer to being home.. and in my driveway! |
