Apparently that VIN tracking tool on the WW website is wildly inconsistent. Some folks never show up in it, even after delivery to port of entry. Mine doesn't show up either. I'll confirm with CA today or tomorrow.

Edit: Status 193 (at the port of exit) as of yesterday. Hopefully she ends up on the Elektra, but may have to wait for the next ship.

I checked NYK website schedule and I only see ships going from Bremerhaven to Los Angeles but not to Port Hueneme.

ELEKTRA is late to port. Its ETA has changed from 11/08/14 1AM to 7PM (UTC). This is the result of dawdling in the North Sea for the last 24 hours. At first her speed was reduced to five knots; then further to one knot; and finally doing circles to avoid going to port.

I hope our BMWs aren't delayed by these games. This seems to be a practice of WW ships. Last week I watched the DON JUAN, with cargo aboard, reverse course and backtrack to avoid arriving at Brunswick Georgia early.

Frustrated. You can be too.

Looks like you're in NJ. Will almost certainly be shipped by WW. If you go here and put your VIN in the 'Cargo ID' box, it will give you shipping info if your car has been selected for shipment and booked for a particular ship. If it says No Records Found, your car hasn't been booked yet or they haven't updated the website yet.

The other way is to write or call your dealer and simply ask. Mine has been very helpful every step of the way whenever I ask for updates. He or she will know when your car is booked on a particular ship.

I ordered my car on 9/25 and i STILL don't have a production number. My CA is telling me production is scheduled for beginning of Jan 2015 (when I ordered the car, he said production would be beginning of October ). He also keeps telling me that he doesn't have the production number yet... looking at a lot of other people in this forum, they get it after a week or two from ordering, I don't understand why I haven't been given one yet.

Something up with your dealer. I got my production number as soon as the order was entered into the computer. I also ordered after you, 10/16, and have a build scheduled for next week though. Its possible that they don't have any allocation for F36's.

I would call BMW NA at this point as your dealer may not have all the info. I ordered an F31 which isn't nearly as popular as the 4 series cars, so ymmv, but I was given a production number the same day that I put the order in. My car was ordered 10/2 and it's already on a boat in the Atlantic.

F31 allocations are abundant though, so maybe F32/36 allocations are the issue.

So found out my 435xi GC is on the carrier (FAUST) and will be in NY on 11/27

The vessel left on 11/12, but the WW website didn't register by vin number in the cargo ID field till yesterday.
