i flashed stage 3, but now comfort/sport/sport+ are all like comfort... and when you put gear in "S" it doesn't shift until redline XD. there is definitly something wrong. 3C91 if it matters.

That's "race mode", and it's meant to do that. Go down to stage 2.

From all the feedback I've read, it seems that stage 1 would be the best solution for the torque limiter removal feature. But aside from that stage 2 and 3 are not suitable for daily driving, especially if you have a upgraded turbo like myself.

Guess I'll wait until they release a stage 1 or custom ots map license

Shift speed with the shift in Manual on stage 2, sport mode is 2 (out of 3). In sport+ it is 3.

stage 2 is a vast improvement over stock and perfectly fine for a DD...

please refer to and study charts...

So far I'm very happy with stage 2, some rough shifts here and there but I'm attributing that to adaptations.

Also running stg2. Not finished the adaptation period yet, but so far very happy. I run Pure Stg2 and dont find any problems. I even run Eco Pro in the city for the added smoothness and comfort and because I find throttle to sensitive in Comfort (MHD custom tune). I find that shifts are smoother and faster. Have not noticed any change in shift points.

Two weeks of vacation coming up so I'll do a comprehensive video/comparison

Looking at this I dont see any reason not to go stg3. Things should only get really exciting in S + Sport+. Gotta try this

xHP Stage3

Just been doing some driving in Stage3 and dont think I'll ever use Stage1/2. Drives like stock in anything else than animal-mode (Sport+/S) - and when do you otherwise use Sport+ unless when you want to drive like an animal? Biggest change is the 2100rpm downshift limit in Comfort/S which is really nice with a bigger turbo.

6th gear is definitely fixed! Happy days!

I'll be doing some Stg1 vs Stg3 acceleration tests and data logging later.

Since my car is the base model that doesn't have the sport+ mode, I don't get to have the quick 3+ shiftspeed level? Can the transmission be coded for sport + so I can use stage 3?

Yeah - get yourself Bimmercode and compatible adaptor, then code away.

Guy how is the car in terms of downshift with stage 2?
Smooth?
Also in sport the car will upshift to the 8th gears?

Any insight on the throttle blip/rev match that comes with stage 3? I was very excited to see this feature but haven’t heard any first hand input regarding it.

Flashed stage 2. Shifts are silky smooth. Have not really stretched her legs though.

Hey Mike. Is it that much of a significant difference to justify the price?

If I could buy one of the stages that would be the way to go. That would 100% be worth the money. With that being said, I would tentatively say yes, the car really doesn't feel lazy anymore, and it really does shift better. 350 is steep and maybe a little too much, but you get the support, and the three tunes..if you're a track guy it's definitely worth it.

Running Stage3.

Sport+ is a bit weird I think. Sport+/D is acting like a super fast eco-mode. Upshifts at similar rpm as Comfort and will also do 8th gear. Flicking it into S then completely changes this. Revs are staying much higher in Comfort/S than Sport+/D...this definitely take some time getting used to!
My car is a 2012 M135i that came without LC - still does not have LC. Tried DSC off, Traction and Sport+...

XHP said earlier cars need istep update to get LC.

I don't fully understand what LC actually is on an auto car. Don't you just hold brake and accelerator and drop the brake?

Its the event, the sequence you go through, the flag in the dash board, hearing the engine hanging in the rev limiter, the expectation of crazy acceleration......but yes you are right

So are you saying by flashing the Xhp tune I will lose my factory LC?

And then have to wait till they have one available? Nope...

I've noticed the same thing. It seems to shift at a lower RPM than normal, it almost seems eager to shift into higher gears.
