Not even mould on it…. Notwhere close to nasty 😊 Looks perfectly fine as a slightly used filter.

Got a set of non-OEM heritage floating center caps from Bimmerplug. Quality is okay, nothing special. I normally don't do aftermarket parts but given the lack of a similar OEM option for F series wheels (68mm hub) I didn't really have another similar choice; to my knowledge this is the only product like this on the market at this time. The gif below shows the old static ones I had (in my hand) vs the new ones (installed).

Yes, the mechanism used is very high quality and works perfectly. Honestly it feels better than the OEM bmw ones that I had on my M2. The quality issue is just with the design (doesn’t look OEM), functionality wise it’s great. Obviously I can’t speak to how they will hold up over time as they’re a day old but I’ll update everyone if they turn out to be junk.

This actually looks pretty good. Where'd you get this. I wonder if this or paint matched black sapphire would look good. I hated the stock plastic. I hate the ebay plastic one I replaced it with. Carbon I don't have anything else cf, not sure if I like it, but they are nicer.
Can you post a few more pics of the car from further out? |

VAC Motorsports had an 10% off anniversary sale last week and took delivery of their monoball control arms for my 340i xdrive over the weekend. Waiting on new control arm mounting hardware and axle bolts from FCP Euro.

Yes - Tommy. Look great, easy to install, flex to the radius of the wheel opening. . . and work like a charm. I love them.

Added paddleshifters to my 2019 F31 330iX. Canadian model with the M Sport package, M Sport wheel, etc, but no paddles (apparently an option only here.)
Bought paddles, rear trim and a retrofit wheel wiring harness off ebay. Car was already wired for it, but I had to drill the wheel’s aluminum frame to mount the paddles. Coded support with Bimmercode. Worked great. Bonus post-wash shot. |

My 15 minute shakeout test drive was not what I expected but then again I wasn’t sure what to expect. Steering input is instant and not vague or mushy like the OEM arms. Braking is better too with less dive. Ride quality is fine but I’ll know more during the week. All in all I’m pleased with the initial results and glad I finally did the upgrade. |

After a lot of chat on BobistheOilGuy forums I moved motor oil over to Pennzoil Platinum Euro 5w40 LL01. Also switched OEM manual transmission mounts to stiffer Rogue Engineering version. Switched rubber shift bushing with stiffer teflon ECS Tuning shifter bushing. Shifts are now much less rubbery and vague; much more precise and enjoyable.

I need to install the M Sport brakes onto the 440, and get a second set of wheels for summer tires, but man, I'd strongly consider the monoballs well before 100k as a handling improvement. At this rate, maybe next year, since life insists on being sure I don't have time for anything. |

Looks amazing! Have you considered swapping the ferric 437s for black ones? I feel like the black would be better suited to your tints and other accents.

Took the car for a longer ride today with a mix of New England secondary roads which are not in great condition and a freeway sprint. The front wheels feel more planted and connected to the chassis. Steering is quick with good tire feedback which was vague at best with the OEM control arms. Front suspension reacts much better over bumps making the tires more planted in a straight line and cornering. If your front control arms are ready for replacement and you can shoulder the added expense running monoball front control arms, do it. You won't regret it.

Thanks mate….I know what you mean but I’ve never really ‘got’ black wheels…to me they just look dirty all the time and the detail can get lost which is why I went with Ferric, although it was a close call 🤔

None so far. I did replacel both arms on each side. There is some subtle road surface feedback which was muted by those OEM hydro bushings. I think anyone looking to improve the handling of their f3x platform should consider the monoball arms when doing dampers and springs.
