Got a good price from the dealer on the M Performance Power Kit as well as the M Performance Brakes that someone else had ordered but didn't pick up. Got the mppk for $900 and the brakes for $1,900 plus $640 in labor. I was a little hesitant on the rocker panel decals at first but they are kind of growing on me and are more subtle than I thought they'd be. Hopefully they'll stay on and not come off after several car washes. The build date of my car was 9/2012 so my power kit is the older one which adds 20hp. If I'm understanding this correctly, later builds benefit from a 35hp increase?
PPK install was a total pain as it turns out they had to order a whole new DME for me (which the dealer covered at no charge) and had to completely reprogram my car. So the install took a few weeks. They put all the parts on, gave me the car back while we waited for the DME to arrive from Germany, then they had to keep the car for three days while they tried to get it installed and working properly. They also gave me my rear rotors at no charge since oddly enough the M performance brakes only include the front discs in the price. You have to order the rears separately. So basically I got a new DME and my rear rotors for free. I already had the M performance exhaust which the dealer installed before I purchased the car three years ago. I am noticing a little more exhaust burble than before the power kit was installed. Again, not a big difference but some. I'll be putting on a set of Dinan performance springs with the ride kit and shockware next week to firm up my suspension and provide a modest amount of lowering. They say 3/4 inch drop so we'll see. I've also got a set of 19" staggered summer tires mounted on some 442m orbit grey rims coming as well. Will keep these 400m for the winter. Overall, I suppose I can tell a bit of a difference, especially under hard acceleration. Beyond that, not yet noticing much of a difference with the power kit installed such as quicker shifts/throttle response etc. If anything, I'm noticing a little more throttle lag than before. I'm also noticing the turbo whistle more with the new intake. Being winter and driving in heavy traffic, I haven't had much of a chance to open it up to really get a sense of how this power kit performs. I'm debating whether to have a dyno test to confirm the added power especially given the problems the dealer ran into with the install. I did have a chance to try a full throttle acceleration with the sport displays on and the HP seemed to max out at about 315 or so not 320 but I'm not sure how accurate it is. Prior to having the PPK installed, the sport display would max out at about 300 under full acceleration so I would have expected at least a 20hp difference after the PPK was installed regardless. Sorry for the crappy iPhone pics After Dinan Performance Springs, Dinan Ride Kit, and Shockware are installed. The springs lowered the car by 3/4 of an inch all around. After reading all the positive reviews on here, I think I will order the MPPK for my '16 435 GC, but I was a bit shocked at my dealers price of $2341.42 parts and $280 labor to install. I am in Canada, so can other Canadians advise what they are getting their kits for? Thanks

I just got MPPK installed on the car and it's great! The power bump is nice, but the thing I like best is the throttle response. It's much sharper than before which makes shifting and driving so much more pleasant.

Curious what you paid for the kit and what the dealer charged to install. I have seen some dealers selling on eBay below list.

So I went forward with it. Got discount on Labor (They applied my bmwcca membership discount on labor vs parts) and I also deactivated my bmw assist ($300 voucher) |

I can't comment on your exhaust note, but I have not noticed any discernible difference in the exhaust note from within the cabin since adding the MPPK. I did not change my exhaust as I thought the M Performance exhaust was too obtrusive when I heard it. I did not have the opportunity to drive a car with the M Performance exhaust, so I'm not sure how it sounds from the interior. |

I don't mean to derail the thread but I have the Dinan exhaust which I absolutely love and the Dinan intake on my '16 435i GC (I went with Dinan primarily for the warranty). Would it make sense to the get the MPPK with this setup?
I had the Dinan S1 on my old 335 which was cool but like another poster said, there are a lot of positive reviews on here for the MPPK. Considering that the Dinan S2 and this MPPK are about the same price here in Vancouver (approx. $2500-$3000 CDN) installed I thought it might be an idea to try the MPPK. Thoughts? |

i got the same run around until i finally talked to a service advisor who wasn't blowing smoke up my ass
they should be charging you about 1 hour of labor for the airbox/engine cover install and 1 hour for the programming |

I ended up paying $2224.35 (MPPK) + $279.90 (installation)= $2504.25 + taxes, no exhaust. This was a bit cheaper than what I was quoted at a couple of other dealers.
