I think your head unit is shot. It should say No Signal if there's power to it but no video signal. I've plugged an EVO Screen to a regular NBT before and even that gives me "No Signal".

But I'm starting to think the same, it's strange though, that thing is 3 months old and I'm able to VO code it without giving any error
I plug in the Entrynav HU and it works, even without a screen attached, when plugging in the NBT (with or without emulator) , nothing happens but the NBT fan blowing and a noise coming from the speakers.
I didn't attach the Touch controller, but I don't think that can be the issue, I also put DAB in the FA, as the donor car had it, but still no working NBT
2 other things I noticed:
- the MOST light is working on the rear side
- when I push the eject button, it works
So, it isn't completely dead

I also checked the CID voltage with HU_ENTRYNAV , also 8,5V, so the NBT isn't giving any input to the screen, like it's not waking up completely.

for the ones interested: I was able to FDL code the Sports display to my HU_ENTRYNAV with 8.8" screen, which is nice.

shawnsheridan , can you please give an input ? I know you're not familiar with NBT, but I'd like to know some things I can still try to get it working...

What about checking with Rheingold?
It helped me to identify former faults of my HU when I was retrofitting. You can also trigger HU functions.

I got the NBT working
It was in transport mode!

here's how you get it out:

connect to vehicle
read FA
activate FA
Read SVM(..
go to external applications
double click the transmitter
click the connect button
double click 31 01 0f 0c 00;setenergymodedefault.

-> the NBT starts and the screen comes up !


Now it asks me for the activation code for Navigation, although the Emulator is connected. Time for some further searching, but I'm happy I got the Unit working

Okay, new update:
-I've got the navigation activated (thanks Shawn), but it shows me the wrong location, when I drive, it's navigating, but i'm somewhere in the UK in stead of my actual location.
I'm using a Fakra antenna from Ebay. I suppose it is faulty ? it's located behind the Kombi but I put it on the dash now for testing.

- I added 6NS, 6AL, 6AK and 6AM to my FA and VO coded HU_NBT, but my connected drive menu is completely empty. I also FDL coded these:
3003 > DUN_PROFILE - aktiv
3003 > PAN_PROFILE - aktiv
3003 > ONLINE_BROWSER - beide_aktiv
3003 > ONLINE_SERVICES - nicht_aktiv
3003 > ONLINE_SERVICES_GLS - nicht_aktiv

Edit: nav problem solved.

Only thing not working now is Connected drive. The menu is completely empty...

BMW Live and Online sorted (Donor car did not have 6AL, zo had to put another VIN in FA)

I now have a 99.9% working NBT !

Only thing which is not always working is connecting my iPhone.
I can only use aftermarket cables because Apple cables keep on connecting/deconnecting the phone

next retrofit will be 6WA or PDC

After retrofitting NBT, can I still get my car for having a custom ECU tune ? I thought I read somewhere to change to stock before Engine tuning...

I completed a NBT retrofit of a German donor HU everything works be the apps, the donor unit came equipped with 7XP but i'm not sure if I should try to code that or the US verion 6NR. Anyone run into this issue?

Besides the NBT I also replaced my roof to a black one. The roof unit is without SOS, but however I turned it off in the VO as also in the FDL it still gives me an error. Any suggestions how to kill this error?

SOS Button is at least also connected to TCB.

Thanks for help! I VO coded the TCB today and the warning disappeared! Internet is still not working (however it did before). How do you decide to put what numbers in your VO? Do you need to put the options of the donor vin in it, or the original ones, or combined? I really don't see any logic in this...

I really can not fix the internet of the car, I have the following in the VO:
609,616,676,698,6AK,6NR,6NS,6WA

I also put the donor VIN in the header and VO code it twice. The only thing I dont understand is where to change the build date.

Then I checked these settings:

Hi Guys!

I have nbt evo retrofitted , after i upgrade my iphone 6 to is 10 noticed some bluetooth problems no hands-free connecting , freezing meanwhile talking etc
after i repaired my phone couldnt choose to stream music (work perfect before ios10) on bluetooth just see the phone option in the pairing menu
now i buy iphone 7 but the problem stay , do i have problem with my coding \ evo or its just some kind of bug \ issue from the new ios ?

I dont have this problem with iPhone 7 either an iPhone 6S on ios10...

NBT EVO ID5, iPone 7 IOS 10, conection working, but calls sound very bad.
