Same here, it is what attracted me to the 535i, the refinement over and above the diesel. But don't think I'd be adding an exhaust. Love that near silent approach and just a controlled rasp when opened up.

Really looking forward to reading your first impressions and comments on the 540i.

It is, and that car has now been collected by its lucky new owner. Diffuser was the PU one not the CF you are getting.

ajfoggy, I just popped in to the local dealer and had a good prod around the G30. A BMW tech specialist showed me round as opposed to a salesman.

Its a very nice car indeed (even in SE spec). It was huge parked next to my F32! Really liking iDrive 6 and the instrument cluster and the fit and finish seemed really nice too.

Not long to wait now mate

On the BMW Immediate Delivery Site, Sytner Harold Wood are advertising a January Registered 520d SE Saloon with 100 miles for £44K. No photos but must be a G30 surely! There is a longish list of options but have not done the maths to see if this works out at over list price. I suspect that it could be over list.

Is it the first of many similar cars that will be registered before the new VED Rates in one months time and offered for sale at a premium?

Doubt it is a g30,

Actually yeah forgot it's was a 520d top price on AUC for F10 is 40k

I agree, £40K or less for a fully specced one IMO.
BMW UK wanted 51K for one I lightly specced must be mad.
