I understand this but my issue with it is, M3 is one of my favorite sedans ever created, especially the F80 — Powerbeast and I have this conversation all the time.

The F80 is a combination of its parts, not its aesthetic, that make the car what it is. If you aren't after the performance, why are you bothering with imitation?

At the end of the day it is as I said before, he wants people to think he spent $200k USD on his car, it isn't because he likes the M3 because he turned a base model car into an aesthetic unicorn.

Those of us that drive F80's don't do it because of the looks, sure it's an angry fucking car, but so is my aventador — I love mine because it's faster than my aventador, more nimble, and I can still fit 4 grown adults in it.

If you aren't interested in the performance aspect, you're simply a jester of the court to be blunt.

On the other hand, no love for m4? Lol

I bought my ex-wife an M4 for Christmas back in 2015, so it does have a bad taste in my mouth

I can understand people's frustration but I think some members might be getting irritated because they're snobs.

Don't agree with the badge but can't blame OP for wanting an M without paying an arm and 2 legs.

I personally bought the M car for its appearance and daily performance since I don't track it. I don't care what people think and my car doesn't really attract attention (just the way I like it) so that wasn't a car buying factor.

Nice build but the badge doesn't belong. To be fair, I also don't think that an M badge belongs on M-Sport cars (removed mine) or the likes of M550i.

That is a pretty impressive conversion. Maybe not a real M3, but man I can only imagine the headaches trying to convert this from a part fitment and electrical conversion standpoint.

OP really must have done his research to get all of this stuff working properly. Hats of to knowing your shit.

Exhaust also sounds surprisingly good considering it doesn't have an M3 engine. Def should get that done though!

As for the M3 badge idk why anyone gives a shit about that crap. I personally took mine off cause it looks so clean with nothing on the back. Now I get shit from some people for not having one

There are a bigger, wonderful world out there where ppl pay 6 figures for cars of their dream. 70K? U can oni own a 330i in my country. My Macan cost more than your M3 at $150K.

Diff countries have diff taxes to boost their national revenue. Talk so much but most u guys just lease instead of buying off with cash.

Sorry I should have said he wanted the appearance of an M car without paying a ridiculous amount of money for it. If he wants the full package and this is his remedy then I agree it wouldn’t make sense.

But hating is a misnomer in this thread. Hating really means scolding someone due to jealousy. Since the “hating” is coming from F80 owners, it’s more appropriate to call it irritation.

The word hating is really not applicable in this thread.
