thanks for the help and reply! Building an OTS has to be tough since everyone has to be able to use it but your time is greatly appreciated!

So like i said i got the recent map yesterday.

I flashed it this morning and it feels much better. I havent been able to really log but looks like hes doing some stuff to handle the overboost. Ill have a usable log in a day or so hopefully. What i have npw was just partial single gesr pulls.

Gotta gove it up to to these guys putting in the effort to get things fixed up for us.

Overboost, throttle issues causing the pump crash.. and when i get 100 throttle im seeing a boost drop obviously. Oh and timing is going nuts.

Crazy thing is, he was pretty confident it was gonna solve my issues.

the hpfp crashing on e30 is going to happen its happened to me on the v6.3 and v6.4 maps some people are lucky and have an hpfp that can handle it.
try the 91 or 93 map and see if you are still getting a hpfp crash, if not then you know your hpfp is struggling with eth

Wonder why there is so much variation between cars with the same engine? Gotta be some engine component that's vital to this new 7.0 tune version working. Maybe a part where it's manufacturing specification varies too widely, or it wears at a varied rate over time.

Gotta be some reason that issues don't show up with two test cars on a dyno, yet they show up widely in the larger general engine population?

What is being done differently in v7.0 vs v6.4 that might uncover this engine variation?

OTS is what it is... OTS... its a universal tune for cars, Custom end of the day will be best since it is made for your engine specifically.

Halim is suggesting that I have a lazy 02 sensor or an injector going bad.

Hes been nice enough but im skeptical that we all have the same issue causing the problems we are seeing.

tbf, we are pushing the limits of the stock hpfp with e30. when you do that you will inevitably step over those limits occasionally, which is what appears to be happening here. My $0.02, either run an OTS pump gas tune or go custom with e30 and/or get appropriate supporting fueling.

They seem like two very different things. An injector would be symptomatic in one cylinder. An O2 sensor for the entire system. Wouldn't logs indicate one or the other?

I don't know how much O2 sensors have changed but decades ago they had a metal end that could be buffed to remove any thin buildup. A German mechanic I knew in the 80's would do that anytime he got a symptom that could mean an O2 sensor, and then the engine would be as good as new. Back then I think those sensors cost a lot more to replace too.

Think it comes down to air density differences per region that the tune is run in, not really variances in the engines/ancilliary components, etc. I'm in Fl and most of you with issues with HPFP crashes are in much colder areas. Hey, there can certainly be bad o2's, but there would be an error code for it, unless it was just above the "bad" tolerance level.. I can run the Stage 2H E30 Map V7.0 no problem, except for minor HPFP dips on the order of 100-400 PSI if I go over E33. I had overbooost on the regular E30 v7.0 map, but no HPFP crashes on it as well. Hoping that the revisions will get this tune better for everyone!
