So like i said i got the recent map yesterday.
I flashed it this morning and it feels much better. I havent been able to really log but looks like hes doing some stuff to handle the overboost. Ill have a usable log in a day or so hopefully. What i have npw was just partial single gesr pulls. Gotta gove it up to to these guys putting in the effort to get things fixed up for us. |

http://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=5e41f573d10b435b16f6a3e3 Overboost, throttle issues causing the pump crash.. and when i get 100 throttle im seeing a boost drop obviously. Oh and timing is going nuts. Crazy thing is, he was pretty confident it was gonna solve my issues. |

try the 91 or 93 map and see if you are still getting a hpfp crash, if not then you know your hpfp is struggling with eth

Gotta be some reason that issues don't show up with two test cars on a dyno, yet they show up widely in the larger general engine population? What is being done differently in v7.0 vs v6.4 that might uncover this engine variation? |

Halim is suggesting that I have a lazy 02 sensor or an injector going bad.
Hes been nice enough but im skeptical that we all have the same issue causing the problems we are seeing.

tbf, we are pushing the limits of the stock hpfp with e30. when you do that you will inevitably step over those limits occasionally, which is what appears to be happening here. My $0.02, either run an OTS pump gas tune or go custom with e30 and/or get appropriate supporting fueling.

I don't know how much O2 sensors have changed but decades ago they had a metal end that could be buffed to remove any thin buildup. A German mechanic I knew in the 80's would do that anytime he got a symptom that could mean an O2 sensor, and then the engine would be as good as new. Back then I think those sensors cost a lot more to replace too. |
