Hello my friends,
I did a quick search but didn't find anything related... Does anyone have a code list for LED conversion and lamp verification by Esys and Bimmercode? By Bimmercode there are some conversion options but internal lights and some other lights don't have. Last edited by Jems32; 08-17-2022 at 08:42 AM.. |

External filament (halogen and non-halogen) bulbs mostly have hot and cold monitoring implemented. This involves the control unit applying a small voltage across the bulb at startup and during use. If there's a problem (a short or open circuit) you'll hear about it. The current passed is very small so the bulb doesn't show any sign of it. If the car does the same for an LED bulb it will have a noticeable flicker, unless it's designed to avoid this or you have a resistor in parallel. The best solution is to code out the bulb monitoring for every affected bulb. I did this for every external bulb in my 2014 F30 330D and the changes are probably relevant for your car. If you want to see my list let me know and I'll get something to you in the next day or so. |

Hello, the engine of my 320d broke. I replaced it with an engine from a 118d. Use the injectors from my 320d and the DDE.
The only thing that differs one engine from another is the turbocharger actuator. The Siemens (118d) is 4 pin and the Hella (320d) was 5 pin The DDE has the 5-pin configured and I need to change to the 4-pin actuator (The DDE will use either of the two actuators). How can I change the type of actuator in the DDE? I look forward to any suggestions. |

Resetting trip computer in side screen (BimmerCode)
Quote:
I'm using BimmerCode and a vGate Bluetooth adapter, and I've previously set this to reset periodically. IIRC, I think I previously set it to 1 hour using hex (0x1) back when BimmerCode only had "expert mode." So this was years ago. My car recently stopped resetting this time for some reason after an oil change and rear brake service, which I had done by a non-BMW mechanic who may or may not have used an OBD device to reset them. I went into "Average Values Reset" under KOMBI_L7_MID (Instrument Cluster)... and it had "unassigned value" displayed. I changed it to "After every ride" and it still doesn't seem to be resetting... though I could only turn the car off for a minute and turn it back on to check if it was reset. Anyone have experience with this? Does "After every ride" change the time to literally 0hr 0min 0sec, so that as soon as the car turns off, it's reset? Or is there still a short buffer period so that it doesn't reset when you get gas on a trip or run into a store? Thanks! |

E-Sys 3.33.0
Hi there,
I'm having a terrible time getting e-sys 3.33.0 to work. Granted, I have not attempted coding yet, so this is all new to me as well. Does anyone have up-to-date instructions on how to install e-sys (what version?), launcher (what version?), and the appropriate data file(s)? Thank you in advance, Brian |

I'm new to this forum and it looks like I need to reply to some posts before my PM function is enabled. "Thank you for verifying your account! In order to use the PM system and be a full fledged member of this community, you will have to make a certain number of verified post replies and wait 7 days for your account to be upgraded." So, I'll try and do this and follow back up with you in a week or 2. Thank you |
