Hi guys thought I'd hop over and answer a few questions that have been asked 🙂. As ZM2 says that's an initial log running the racegas+ map on my stock turbo DCT M2.

Quick mod list to clear a few questions up: Dorch stg1 HPFP, decat, Pure turbo inlet v2, ftp charge/boost pipes, vrsf 5" HD, panel filter, BM3, 3.5 bar tmap. Still on stock plugs and DV.

Fuel used for the racegas+ map is pump 99ron (93/94 aki) with a bottle of NF octane booster. FYI I use to run the regular racegas map on my pump fuel And it ran clean logs all year round.

On the e30+ map my car ran 100-200kph in 7.91s. Looking at all the data from the logs and draggy times the car has a 7.7/7.8s time in it on this map, I'll get back to this after I finish testing the racegas+ map. No 100-200kph times for the racegas+ map yet but looking at the logs it should go a little quicker than my e30+ times. Once weather allows I'll get some numbers.

For VD my car is on the oem 19" wheels with 255/35F and 275/35R. I'll also grab a 4th gear log when I can 👍🏻.

Oh....your DCT... that graph was for manual... gear ratio is major change in Hp... Need the 4th gear pull... also is the DCT the same as the M3? (Update: confirmed it is)

CTS Turbo catted downpipe ordered yesterday!!

This 2+ E30 map is a real monster. Spun from middle of 1st gear through 3rd gear on launch. I can just feather the throttle and get it to spin and these are Firestone Firehawk Indy 500’s, pretty sticky.. This is all in sport+ mode. It has electric motor instant torque. Like @zm2 said, this transforms the car.

Road and Track, and Car and Driver usually have a downloadable PDF with their tester car’s information- inclusion curb weight as tested, and launch RPM for acceleration, etc.

If all goes as planned I will be going to the track to get some 1/4 mile times to compare to the regular E30 tune that I currently have times for.

Thank you so much... Car and driver on some reviews (M2 actually) even do corner weights... so this is the official documents I will use since they obviously weigh them on the spot... M2 = 3509lbs.. We'll assume gas tank on empty I guess...

Okay... adjusted weights according to Car & Driver... 3rd gear DCT is basically same as 4th gear Z8f.... I gave all benefits as possible to the M2... Red is 2018 M2 Bm3 Race Tune... Blue is 2015 335i Xdrive MHD E20 (mine) ...

This is why I don’t waste time with VD, and now we have another thread polluted with it.

There’s no stock HPFP N55 in the world running E20 that’s faster than these Stg 2+ maps.

Show us a sub 7.9s draggy or put it on a Dynojet, skip this VD BS.

We know for a fact that a 335i can hit 407whp with stock HPFP/ stock turbo with the last post from Florida Dyno run...

Not discrediting your numbers, even tho they’re “virtual”. But there’s no way you’re coming close to these Stg 2+ maps.

Who uses virtual dyno? 🤦 Your own car, same car, will vary even same day wildly one pull to the next. Might as well start putting up butt dynos too

Ran enough of these to say they are in the ballpark... proven by dyno in Florida as shown... only way to tell is to get more proper logs..... Data is key... just ask Google... ... My car runs good...I had really good weather conditions (Low temp, low Hum, High Pressure)... nothing to lead me to believe it doesn't and the logs reflect that... I'm running E20 with 8 shots of Boostane per tank of 93oct... guess it works...

P.s. I found a elevation site and checked the mile I log on... I'm within 5ft up & down over a mile... good enough..

Dude why are you still posting VD stuff here lol... cant use it to compare cars to eachother. Let me just repeat my earlier post:

The entire point of VD is to use it as a tool to compare your own logs after hardware or software changes, with only one variable changed at a time, under the closest atmospheric conditions you can possibly get, and on exactly the same road to eliminate elevation changes (upslope/downslope) that would affect acceleration results. It's also useful for comparing back to back logs on your car to see things like how much getting timing corrections can affect your (estimated) power. I think the first two posts in my VD thead specifically illustrate this point, and they clearly demonstate the benefits of hardware and software changes and based on all other data from actual dynos and manufacturer claims they are quite accurate. But again putting a bunch of different people's logs in VD to compare to your own or eachother means nothing.

--> https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1710794

VD gets misused because people are obsessed with HP numbers for no reason at all. whether you are making xxx hp or xyy hp is irrelevant. All you need is a solid and reliable tune for your setup.

The only place VD would play a role relevant to this thread is if someone were to flash the BM3 stage 2 E30 map, go log, then flash the stage 2+ E30 map with no other changes, give the car a little time to adapt, then go back to the same exact spot under as close of conditions as possible and get another log on the new map. Then, we could toss them in VD and see what it looks like, because its just another way to estimate the delta from the tune change (similar to acceleration time, just inferring from logs), short of having actual back to back dyno runs. But again, its the delta that matters (and the curve, of course), not the peak hq/tq numbers, along with how clean the log is.

Yea I know... just entertaining myself I guess... no reason not to believe for my run... I'm at sea-level/ lucky weather... Florida is sea-level...lol... my run is flat enough... I'm just saying good enough for a ballpark... want to see a upgraded fuel pump run in Florida... Black Friday is approaching... might go either Dorch II or Spool 180... I read a few things here and there...

Car and Driver would do full weight testing, so just add for the driver. Cross reference with Road and Track to verify.

With that said, the BM3 Stage 2+ Absolutely makes more peak, and high RPM HP, so virtual dyno is showing us what we already know to be true.

Virtual Dyno is a very good (And fairly accurate) tool. It’s pretty ignorant to be so dismissive.

This surprises me as my car does 100 to 200 in 7.4sec and judging by your log it looks way cleaner then mine. I am on 98RON with 100% meth but my timing is not as good as yours.
