Amazing views. I love the Lake District and that tent pitch stunning view. bet the drive in the M3 was spectacular, very nice thing to do.
When I was a lad we lived in Tynemouth and we used to water ski on Ullswater, folks had a caravan at Pooley Bridge great holiday / weekend memories, have been back a good few times since. I never forget the Morris minor trying to get to Hartside towing the boat! Always had to stop at the cafe for 1/2 hour to let it cool down again The Ford Anglia he had later did a slightly better job but wasn't until he got a Jag that we could relax without the fear of having to get out and walk to help push or lighten the load It was a great Cafe with tremendous views (if it didn't rain) stopped there the year before it burnt down, shame they didn't rebuild it as the proposed plans that were around at the time. Haha by about 15miles
It's an idea; the wife's away with her Mum & Sis towards the end of May; might give myself an afternoon off and get up there lunchtime onwards; roads will be quiet enough before school kick-out etc

He’s restoring a Fiat UNO Turbo Abarth and he’s often in his garage revving it and I’m not sure if it has an exhaust on it yet lol.

Incidentally if you’re on the Hartside Pass and find you’re joined by a black i30N, with a local PX72 plate then back off. It could easily be mistaken for someone else enjoying the road, but it’s an unmarked car that’s often seen up there. |

I picked up two french hitchhikers on the road past Derwent Water. They had arrived at a London airport and had made their way through Wales to Snowdonia, across to the peak district, then up to the lakes over the previous 2 weeks - exclusively by hiking, wild camping and hitchhiking. Made me think I need to up my game, so if the weather looks good over the BH I want to do 2 or 3 nights wild camping & hiking around the Wastwater/Ennerdale/Buttermere valleys. I've walked almost all of the hills there, but I'd love to just spend a few days there linking them up, keeping as much away from roads and buildings as possible. |

Some lovely cars in this thread. My favourite look backs are a bit less interesting, but here goes.....
I do give my current F30 the occasional look back, in spite of there being millions of F30s on the roads...... ....but my one true love was always my old Corrado VR6. Show your car some love and it will love you back I actually used to slide out of the office occasionally just to go and peek at it in the car park. Sad I know I slapped a turbo onto it to make it extra fruity and Speedline wheels from the Vento cup challenge cars. Shame VW didn't make these available for the road cars! I did look back at my old Bimmers quite a lot, more so than my newer ones.... I absolutely adore the E30 and E34 Tourings The classic lines and the classic BBS rims, can't beat that old school vibe! But I've always been a VW guy at heart... these two were always at the Shell station ....as was my old MK2 16V Turbo, even more so than the R32 and Edition 30 |

Always wanted one; wanted one since I saw Edd China do up the 325i they got on WD all them years ago; looked such a cool car. Dirt cheap as they all were back then; same with the E39 M5s... Should have got out of JDM Honda's then really... Hindsight n all that

I had an E30 saloon (2 door, 318iS) as I hadnt grown to appreciate estates back then, but would love a nice E30 325i Sport Touring now.... well with modern performance and luxuries! I learned my love of estates with Volvo 850s... PS ETA that F30 looks stunning, still a great design and in a lovely colour |
