Download manager has done the trick! Might need some more help on file save location and where to save/copy as I'm not a techie! Excellent thread this. |

The only thing I can advise is to try it yourself

I have to admit, a lot easier than I thought. whoever made the analogy to editing the windows registry is pretty dead on.
There should be a thread detailing each function and what it does. Basically like your cheat sheet but one that the community can add on to.... Now on to our f25 which has the tech package! |

How long does it normally take for your car to be detected after turning on the car but not the engine? mine doesn't seem to get detected but the lights flash on my network port. Windows says the network cable is unplugged. Any suggestions?

One thing I did when I built my cable was to pull out the trusty multimeter and test each pin and also the resistor. |

Yeah making a connection shouldn't take any longer than 30 seconds max, usually faster. I agree with Raspartan, it might be worth it to check the cable

checked the cable, seems fine, resistor is reading 503 Ohms, is that fine? I'm thinking it''s a problem with the laptop i'm using, it's my work one and they have a bunch a crap that takes over the network interface for vpn and what not. Going to try with a mac laptop and if that fails, I'll need an extension cord for my old laptop that can't hold a charge anymore.

Hello all. I have a F30 Sport with a 6 spd. I work in the service department at a BMW dealer. I have access to the coding cable that the techs use. They don't want to help me with much because they are afraid of losing their jobs. I am about ready to start coding after almost a week of downloading the files from rapidshare. But here is a question. I am a little unclear as to what to do with the .rar's. When I unpack them I get an error every file is this normal? Again a step by step guide for what to do with these psdzdata files would be AWESOME! I'll let you guys know how easy this is with the dealers cable.

btw guys, if you discover new things, or changed some things, that I didn't put in the cheat sheet yet, please list them here (together with the values and where the options are located) so I can add them to the cheat sheet, thanks

I think all of this is amazing! BMW dealers should offer the change of these preferences themselves! Will definately ask my Amsterdam dealer, however their response is probably NO....
Anyway, good work!! |

Would anyone know how to code the rear camera to stay on when you activate it while driving? I have a 2012 f10 and would love this feature.

PDC -> 3009 -> V_SCHWELLE_1 -> Werte = FF (max speed to disable top camera view, default 24) PDC -> 3009 -> V_SCHWELLE_2 -> Werte = FF (max speed to disable rear camera view, default 0F) PDC -> 3009 -> D_SCHWELLE_1 -> Werte = FF (max distance in meters to disable top camera view, default 32) PDC -> 3009 -> D_SCHWELLE_2 -> Werte = FF (max distance in meters to disable rear camera view, default 0A) Only downside is with this that the speed cutoff gets disabled but the distance cutoff not. So after about 255 meter or about 0.2 mile, the camera will still shutoff. They haven't found a fix for this yet (I'm unsure if they're actively searching for this, though).

Svache, i am looking at the "Installation" file for the E-sys and i need clarification on step 5. I did download all of the 24 "2_46.3_psdzdata.partX" files but now i need to copy the 7 folders that are inside every single one of the 24 "2_46.3_psdzdata.partX" folders into C:\ESysData\psdzdata\ folder?
Am i reading this correctly? |
