thanks man, i always thought they suit the car well. surprised to hear they’re not as common in the UK, it’s actually my only complaint about having 513Ms, there’s so many F30s that have them here that it almost becomes not as interesting to own them haha.

They're c£2k UK Sterling if they crop up & that's used! The 437Ms are a more popular choice over here, but they do poke a bit, more so on the F30s than the F31s

yep thats about what I paid for mine, they are forged and good looking wheels, so the pricing is actually somewhat fair compared to other forged good quality wheels from aftermarket companies. one of the reasons I looked for OEM vs aftermarket is also value retention. OEM wheels like 513m depreciate very slowly, and I bet I could get most of the money back that I have invested in them if I had to sell them tomorrow. Aftermarket wheels do depreciate at a much faster rate. and you're right, the only wheel I see more often on F30s than 513m, are the 437m.

I stuck with OEM BMW 18" 405Ms for my main wheels for the summer; IIRC they're forged also as they're only 9kg a corner - you can really tell the difference between them and the 397s I'm running for winters currently (5kg a corner heavier), and you can really tell! Summers: Winters:

winter prep this past weekend, i’ve mentioned in this thread before but I do not have access to a power washer or even properly washing my car with water. For the last 2 years I’ve been using AMMO froathe which is a solution for people like me to do a waterless wash, the downside is using a lot of towels.Due to this I’ve only been taking my car to the local detailer twice a year to get a proper wash in preparation of clay barring and coating the cars paint with sealant. Pictures below from the weekend:
Car is getting the rare spa treatment: After a decon wash from the detail shop, I quickly bring it over to my garage and do a full synthetic clay bar of the whole body. Here she is after clay: Below are pictures I’ve taken after various completion points of applying coating. Generally I’ll apply one coat and give the car 24 hours to cure, followed by 2nd coat, I try not to have the car see rain for 48 hours after applying coating. Love how deep the gloss is on the car, it becomes a lot darker I notice:

Few small updates:
New Power Trunk Button: This mod came from my buddy Runner340 , he bought the bimmertech power trunk same as me and was bothered by having a lock button that did nothing so he decided to replace it with an OEM single power trunk open/close button. Dimensions were identical and buttons are interchangeable. I decided to follow suit as well: Safety Triangle retrofit: Added the euro safety triangle, always figured it’s good to have for any side of the road repair work, especially since I don’t use RFTs anymore. Plus filling in the obvious outline void of the trunk liner is an added bonus. I have an emergency repair kit in the under trunk floor storage spot, so this seems like an obvious addition:

I bought the warning triangle for myself but didn't buy the screws for the mounting brackets thinking that I wouldn't need them. What was the part #s for the screws and the screw holders/retainers? I have the two brackets that hold the triangle but not the screws or the retainers that go into the trunk itself that the screws go into. According to RealOEM the part #s are 51717154520 and 07119904182. Did you get anything else?

you’ll need two of each: 07119906876 - metal screws 51717154520 - expanding plastic rivet. other than the 2 holders of the triangle, i personally didn’t get anything else, i believe there are also covers that go over the screw head to hide them. but i didn’t care for that since the triangle covers the screws either way.
