p.s. I am still hoping M4/M3 will look good enough and (most importantly) I have the money for them so that would be my choice... but then again RS and AMG do offer good cars.. hmmm it is so hard to spend the money these days thanks to BMW safety design strategy (read=boring) |

And so, to summarize:
The E92 guys don't like it because it's not a leap forward, like THEIR car was. And definitely not because it will make their cars look dated and so older model ago. So they're going to all spend an extra $10k on an S5, which is a much better car anyway. The F30 guys don't like it because it looks like the F30. Not because it looks nothing like their cars and they're eating their spleens wishing they had waited. Plus it has that side vent, which obviously doesn't look nearly as good as the little indicator on their fenders. The E46 guys, well, they don't like it because BMW has never made another decent car after it. Not because they're in a vortex and long for the old days and window cranks and no cupholders. And the VW, Volvo, Alfa, Rice Burner, Lada, Yugo people don't like it for various reasons including the use of a Porsche camera crew. And NOT because...well...you know. For some reason, I still think they'll sell a few. |

Looks too similar to the F30. I had expected greater differentiation (like the 5 vs 6 series) given the new name designation and price increase.
I like side vents, but these ones are poorly executed. Car looks MASSIVE. I'm seriously considering next-gen Audi S5. |

Some folks (a lot of folks actually) have no use for a coupe when we have families and young children. And also don't want to spend $50K on a 3 or 4 series.

The car looks nice. It looks far nicer than the E92. More masculine and sophisticated. That shoulder line is the best feature. Very pronounced. It's certainly not an incredibly aggressive looking car, but that's for the M-Sport and M4 to cover. I'm not a fan of the plain looking front an rear bumper on this car, but like I said - M-Sport and M4 will certainly change that. Well done BMW. |

Any ideas where this filming is taking place?
Signs are in English, the police look american and the double yellow means it's likely not anywhere in Europe.

That being said I do wish BMW would go Bangle again. The designs under his leadership were fascinating and daring. |

When i first saw the F30 M performance, knew that was going to be my next car. The coupe however does look like the current F30 sedans. Think it was just way too predictable and no wow factor.
I think this was the BASE design everybody was thinking of and was expecting a 'wow, that's not what i thought it was going to look like!' but BMW kind of failed in that dept. anyways, looks nice but happy my F30 doesn't look outdated already compared to a newer model. +1 on that trunk though

Im sure the f32 will sell, they arent raising the price of this car much higher than the e92, but i doubt it will sell as well as the e92, thats the only difference. Honestly though in my opinion its the bmw 4 series>audi a5>mb c class coupe |

I said it before and I'll say it again; Bangle made BMW interesting and different from the safe, generic designs of other manufactures. Now, BMW makes boring looking cars. |
