New guy here. Hope to be joining the F31 club soon. Missed out on a couple of Cars and Bids auctions but they're absolutely on my radar as my first automatic daily driver in 18 years. Solid database here that I've had fun thumbing through in my spare time!

Cause that’s where wagons all seem to have been sold originally. Personally I skipped PNW and EST, cause I don’t like rust. You get snowboarders in nor cal so check for rust on the transfer case output. Mine was NorCal and evidence (board wax in the cargo carpet) suggests former snowboarder so my T case got replaced by recall. Hope that helps you find what you are looking for! And don’t believe anything you see in a listing unless vin decoder says it exists. I’ve seen listings where a pic shows something in one pic but the next shows it missing, ie they grabbed the wrong pic from the wrong car, or the written description does not jibe with photos or vin decoder.

Been plugging VINs into VIN decoders like crazy and trying to memorize BMW's sometimes asinine names for packages and what each actually contains. My hope is to land a white on red or red on black LCI F31 in the coming weeks. Missed out on an F31 white on red LCI track pack on C&B a couple days ago that I thought would go for much higher than it actually did. Was real irritated at that but it helped set the price point for me. Been down to our local CarMax to sit in F30s and get a general feel for the interiors but no 328i XDrives have come in recently. I'd likely be doing an XDelete since it has snowed once here in the last 22 years. I'll leave the hardware in for trips back home to Queens or STL but there's little reason for the additional traction here on the beach in Georgia. |

Unless you want to do rwd burnouts there is no reason to bother with xdelete.
It does all of nothing for mpg, (you are still driving the front axle shafts and diff, jsut with the rear axle via the ground) and the xdrive isn’t invasive. It is however useful in torrential downpours which you Do get in GA. Spend that money on springs or coilovers to get back to rwd height or Msport rwd height. Also, the dhp is both rare, and not necessarily desirable since it is jsut two position electric shocks on xdrive and adds expense when later you have to delete or replace them. Farkle for example among others has deleted it to go aftermarket. I really wanted it, but am happy the car I wound up choosing with the other 13 things I wanted, didn’t have them after all, especially when I was able to upgrade to coilovers for less than one dhp shock would have cost. Msport though, is worth it. Even though it is mostly an appearance interior package with no performance. For the 1-2k you spend extra getting msport, you could never replace headliner, seats, steering wheel, bumpers, on a sport or luxury pack, etc. if you were looking for the larger brakes, those are easy to swap over from a 335/340 for ~$900 including good used rotors and pads. The things that were must nots for me were halogens, HK (the pnp BMWup7 amp for 676 is way better) , driver assists (wanted glove box instead) musts for me were diesel, Msport, idrive and hud(technology pack) , wheel + seat heating all around (cold weather), black leather interior, xenon’s, etc. best of luck with your search! Edit, if you want run my vin fk300788 and ask away. It has everything but rear door roller blinds, HK, dhp, and driver assists. And radar cruise.

A couple pictures from the previous weekend. Got a dump of 14 inches up in the mountains. Michelin IceX tires handle great! Really impressed with the mighty 4-banger

Yes I do have the driver’s side glovebox/ cubby. Great place for sunglasses, etc.
Mine has the extended storage option, perhaps yours doesn’t?

How do you find the quality of the overall wheels? And the finish quality? Are they heavy? Any complaints? |
