My Wagner down pipe has a straight end where it fits onto the mid pipe but my mid pipe and stock cat have a flared end with a V clamp. Do I have the wrong down pipe or do I have to cut the flared end off mid pipe?

Sounds like you have an N20 downpipe but your engine is an N26. Technically not compatible but any decent muffler shop can make it work.
