"E9X LCI" or "F3X" It's time to vote (F3X Forum)
Posted this on the E90 side, request came in to post it here to see how the results would differ,
Well the F3X has been out for awhile now and there have been pros and cons for everything from the bumper to the interior and the N20 engine that is in some models. I personally I feel the F3X fell short . On the other hand, some people feel it is absolutely the best 3'er they have every seen. Well its time to vote and post your comments about either. This will give an honest cross section of peoples views on both models. May the best 3'er win, The thread on the E9X site, http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=647559

not surprising it's the opposite result on the other side. People love what they have / what they will have, in this case F3x. But gotta say F30 is the winner in almost all levels or I would've gone and got myself an E90 already with all the huge discounts going on.
Wonder if anyone at this point would go out there and get a brand new E90 sedan because they really don't like the F30. DOUBT IT... |

Did it, for that very reason, and I will never regret it. But each to their own

Here are some comparison pictures of the top-spec models (the e90 has 17" wheels though):

Having had 3 E90s (non LCI) in the past, I still think even the 2005 E90 was more of a headturner than the F30 is now. It's more an evolution than a revolution (exterior). Interior in general the F30 wins, hands down(imo)
I voted F3x just because it's newer. |

and not for the huge discounts being part of it? I'm surprised you turned down stuff like the 8speed, HUD, and it being the newer car which will hold value longer than the E90 which will pretty much drop down in resale in the next coming months.

I never really liked the E90 after the E46, it lost it's classiness. I think the F30 brought it back again =)

Going to reserve judgement until I sit inside one and test drive, but peeked in from the outside at the dealer lot over the weekend and I didn't feel like a huge change. My e90 with a mild suspension and 162s looked a lot more aggressive.

The side front view of the new 3 series sedan looks exactly like a 1999 Buick Century. Why is there like a sloping 2 foot overhang past the wheel well? It looks hideous and you know it.
My 135i has like 5 or 6 inches from the edge of the front tire to outside edge of the bumper. The M5 and E90 are like 7 or 8 inches. Does this have to do with this new European pedestrian law? I bet it does.

As an E92 owner I should wait until the F32 is out before making any definitive judgment. But the IL comparison test of the E90 and the F30 showed the E90 328i to be a pretty spectacular car, considering that it's basically a seven-year-old design. I really appreciate the NA 6, the excellent steering and handling of my 328i coupe. Even though it is getting on for five years old, and even though I really like the F30 (and especially its EPA ratings), I'm going to be pretty slow to part with what i have now: 39K miles, no problems of any kind so far, 24 mpg over all, and a blast to drive.

Update: Just totaled each sit up and it looks like this,
E90 89 F30 84 N/O 13 Looks like a 50/50 split. Posting results on the F30 site as well.

at this point yes. but that's primarily due to more people have the E90 compared to the F30 but it's slightly going to F30's favor now. When you started this thread it was totally on E90's favor but not anymore.

I own a Supercharged E92 M3 (2011.5) and a F30 328i. Since the M3/M4 or whatever is not out yet, it's hard to say for sure which will look better. That being said, I like the overall style of the F30 more.
One thing is for sure, the interior is better by every measure. They are obviously different cars in performance, but if I could get the F30 interior in my M3 I would take it without hesitation. In fact, I'd say that the base 328i F30 interior is better than the loaded M3 E92 interior. Thats my 2 cents based on owning both. BTW...I like Melbourne.
