I know this is a F30 forum but due to low responses on F10 forum I'll try here guys: Hello to all, I recently replaced the valve cover gasket on my 2014 535i with the N55 engine due to leaking oil, everything went smoothly but tonight when arrived to home I just heard a weird buzz noise on the passenger side on the engine bay, everything is working fine, no codes at all, no leaks any more just this weird buzz noise coming from the right side of the engine that wasn't there before the repair, any advice on this issue guys?

Boost solenoid failing. Seems to be a relatively common issue. Should be cheap and easy to DIY.

The pressure converter was replaced today, it took me like 30 minutes from start to end replacing this part, not so complicated. Now the car it's very responsive and weird noise is gone now ! Thanks for your support guys !

Before you did the fix, was the sound intermittent or there all the time? I heard this shortly after I redid my OFHGs (probably unrelated), but don't think it's happened since. Probably will end up replacing the solenoid anyways, but just curious if it started and continued to buzz or if it started sporadically and gradually got worse.

I'm getting the exact same sound. It started intermittently; now hearing it more often. I usually hear it after having driven a bit, and then stop, shift into reverse, and it's there.

I'm waiting until ti gets a little more frequent, and then off to the dealership; four months left on warranty...
