BMW dealers will always say to remove aftermarket parts because this is how they are trained. If you tell them you have anything aftermarket installed you can be sure to hear that from them.

If your car has battery problems you will have tens or hundreds of error codes stored which won't say much in most cases. Usually they clear them and check which of them will return but this might not help with troubleshooting too much.
This is why asking for a list of error codes will only make you concern about problems that don't really exist (different modules will throw errors just because there was a voltage drop not because something failed).

One of the reasons you could see battery discharge message is if you don't disconnect the battery during installation and you forget to turn off the internal lights. But this will make the battery message appear right after or even during installation.
Can you tell us how much time to have the kit at home if order now? Can see that a lot of people are waiting for it so

We have parts in stock for most of the models.
Indeed a few orders have not been delivered or were delivered without the correct wiring, but this should be fixed by the end of the month.

If you want to know when we can ship a kit for your car send us an email with your VIN.

If anyone know a local shops in Socal (LosAngeles or OrangeCounty) that would install this please let me know.

I received my kit last week and been itching to get it installed.

Hopefully my kit comes with the correct wiring!

Just got my car back today from CA install. Paint match was perfect and quality was great too. I really can't tell the difference between OEM and bimmertech when comparing the two handles. I was initially concerned about the delay when unlocking the all doors but once I used it in person it really was not that bad. The system is accurate and works really well. One thing to note is when I am locking the car with CA it makes a different sound than when locking with the keyfob. This new noise sounds like a portion of the car alarm and it is pretty loud. I'm curious to know if we can change it.

If some are interested for a new group buyer, I'm in.

I tried to change this by playing around with dip settings (and breaking all the clips in the kick panel in the process) it's either that loud alarm noise or horn. I opted to just silence it altogether in Idrive. Are you gonna keep it or silence it?

I'm thinking about silencing it. It seems to loud honestly. The sound when unlocking the car with the keyfob is more appropriate. It's interesting because when I had stock CA in the past it did not make this sound. .

Also I wanted to note something that I have been experiencing with the CA. Sometimes when unlocking the car with comfort access the alarm will go off and will stay that way until I use the keyfob. This does not happen everytime -but it happened to me twice today.

Update on my end: Received my new harness. Works great, do have a slight delay (1 second) on doors other than driver. Not a big issue, I can do a video if someone wants.

Overall, now that I'm functional, product is worth the price, I'm very happy and would recommend it to anyone. Nice job BimmerTech!

This happened to me today too. But I might have put my thumb on the lock button on the handle comfort access. I wonder if that's what caused your alarm to go off too

Hey guys. So I finally was able to install my comfort access kit on Sunday. The install took me a good 5-6 hours! I only did the drivers door and of course the rear antenna. I did take my time and had some distractions. The difficulties I had were getting to the inside drivers door harness to plug in the pins and for some reason I couldn't get the door handle wire fed through the rubber tube for some reason
But now that it's been on a couple days I am very satisfied with its functionality. I especially love it that all the windows and sunroof will close when you lock it ( I have the tendency to forget to close them). Like everyone, I also have the delay from the other doors unlocking but I don't have an issue with it, but I also have no kids so I do not use the other doors. Now that's it's complete I wish I would have gotten one more for the other side lol. The video does help quite a bit so thank you Brian for that. If anyone has any questions I would be happy to try and help out. Great job and great product once again guys at Bimmertech!

It would be much cheaper just to code your car to use the fob to roll up and down the windows.

Mine will only close them not open them. I still have to use the fob to open them.

You have to have the dip switch turned on to have them close when you lock them.

Anyone can do a small video so we can see about the delay and the noise that this kit makes?

Thanks

The switch is on by default. Technically you would be turning it off and disabling the auto window/sunroof close and mirror fold in if you changed it.
