F30 LCi led headlight wiring harness diy

I have a 2016 F30 LCi with halogen headlights, I have bought a complete set of NONE adaptive LED headlights to retro fit.

Bmw indeed make a wiring harness for this but am looking to make my own

Looking for help if anyone could please point me in the direction for all wiring connector terminals I require. Ones that fit all the connector plugs ect

Thanks

You are looking for the raw terminals? That's a "good luck" project.

Best bet is check the connectors, find out the brand, and then find a place that sells the mating pins. If it's BMW, then you are just hooched at the start since they won't sell piece parts since that would be a "buy replacement harness" deal.

Might be easier to find a wrecker where you can cut the harness out of and then splice it back. Keep in mind, mucking this up has a high chance of blowing other overpriced BMW electronics that monitors lights and operation.

That’s what I did. Found a wrecker and cut the head light harness to have the pins and practice getting them out in and out of the connector. It’s a pain in the ass to deal with. Wiring is not that hard. I did this on my pre lci f30 to lci leds. If you study the diagrams and know how to code. It’s quite easy.
